I reckon you've got it right, @gldenwetgoose. Though as many of us have commented in various places, one of the amazing things about this kink is its variety, and that probably extends to motivations. One could probably cut the members into other groups too, but yours seem to be a *helpful* way to look at things, and that's important. Thanks for doing the thinking 🙂

Thanks for flagging this Steve. I hope I haven't been guilty of precipitating this change and if I have I am very sorry. I have recently posted a few animated gifs that made full use of the previous file size limit, simply because I thought that people respond well to animated gifs in posts. I am aware that they are very large files and inefficient for what is essentially short video content. If I promise not to do it again, could the file size limit be put back up as @steve25805 and @gldenwetgoose suggest?

It's not as simple as it sounds. And I absolutely agree with Pauly that a full bladder can be counterproductive. But when you get it right it is absolutely wonderful to pee when walking or running: incredibly liberating and satisfying. Forget about trying to photograph or video the experience though. Pretty much impossible!

I went for a walk this morning and stopped to have some coffee (I had brought a flask with me). I realised I needed a pee, and since there didn't seem to be anyone around, I just went while sitting on the bench, making a puddle on the ground below. I hadn't finished before I saw a runner approaching, so (unusually for me) I managed to stop, sort myself out, and continue on my walk until I was definitely clear of other people, then peed again on the grassy path I was walking on. This ticks a lot of boxes for me. An absolutely beautiful Nick Drake song, covered by the divine Chrissie Hynde, who has, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest voices in rock, and sensitively accompanied by a fine jazz orchestra. It doesn't get much better, really.

I didn't think I had many unusual habits and quirks, but I made the mistake of mentioning this to the family, who promptly came up with a few for me. Apparently I use daft words for things: when I am going to pay a cheque in I will always say "I am going to pay a chicken". Or if I am late for something, I will say "I'm all moo" (as in "I'm all behind, like a cow's tail", which has become shortened to "moo"). And I go out to talk often to the little birds that come into the garden, as if they were family members. And I regularly get a long way ahead in preparing a meal - such as

I think that's a mature approach, @Alfresco. It's hard to prejudge people's attitudes in any case.

Hmm - that's quite a list 🙂 I think I have got quite a lot more relaxed about things as I have aged, but I still really don't like sticky labels staying attached to things. I always remove them. On the bedroom window thing, I am the opposite. Whether the neighbours want to or not, they always have the option of seeing a naked me at the bedroom window first thing in the morning and last thing at night when the curtains are drawn! Incidentally, how do you cope with things like this?

Not unusual Steve. Though the weather has to be warm enough and I am sensitive to the reaction of K and other family members too.
