Actors peeing on "regular" TV

Recommended Posts

Great find thank you! Don't watch the show but just checked out that scene. I'm actually undecided if the streams are real or not. Either way I'm thrilled to see it and I hope other shows follow suit. It usually takes baby steps to get to the real thing.

Ozark (Netflix) is a show that tends to reference peeing but nothing as of yet worth reporting on. One ore season to go...

@muffinhuntr totally right that one of the things about TV and movies that is least realistic is now rarely people have to pee.

I've just watched that clip as well.  It's great - especially as she is out in the open.   Well it definitely looks like she has her bum out and they could well be peeing for real.   I think the biggest problem would have been getting both of them to pee at the same time and catching it in one take.  If they don't get the shot first time then they'd have to wait for bladder refills, so it may be that they both have bottles hidden to deliver the flow, but it is certainly pretty realistic and all credit to them for including it.

I agree that it is an area that is mostly ignored.  Films and programs always have people eating and drinking, but rarely do they show the need for the toilets.   I would love for these to become more widespread.   It does seem to be shown a bit more than it used to, but there is definitely scope for more.

And then a nice shoulder-up shot of her having a conversation with the guy behind her as she finishes and stands up, and no messing about finding tissues to wipe with.

Amazon can do it as it's a cable network, Over the air tv is handcuffed in the  USA by the FCC, Not surprised as you can get hard core XXX vids on cable.  Pee is becoming more mainstream in the media though and that's very interesting.

There's more of us out there than people know.

Even without the peeing (which is amazing), The Expanse is an incredible book series/TV series. Only ever read the books personally, but there are so many references and scenes regarding female characters peeing that I'd highly recommend it to all members of this forum of a literary bent.

...The actors may have been invited to do it for real but they would have been fitted with bags and tubes to make sure they get the shot.

That reminds me of the Kate Winslet movie called Holy Smoke where she pees. She said she really wanted to do it for real, but constraints of filmmaking prevented it.

I just saw an episode of series The Expanse on Amazon Prime (Season 5 episode 8 ) . At the 2 minute mark at the start of the episode, the actors Amos and Clarissa have just gotten off their bikes and the next scene shows Clarissa standing up but semi squatting and Amos about 10 feet behind here facing a tree and they are both peeing. What's amazing, is you can see both their streams plain as day (steaming too as it's cold). I was amazed- I've NEVER seen anything like that in ANY program unless it was porn. You do not see pussy or cock but you do see pee streaming for several seconds.

A very, very tame passing reference - last night was watching one of those paramedic documentaries.  The ones where they film through their shift, with cameras inside the ambulance and bodyworn too.

Now the thing is, there are always a mix of male and female crews - in this instance two ladies crewing the ambulance, with the girl driving having brightly coloured hair and huge lashes. Quite the extrovert.  And true to form moments before their next shout came in, the editor featured the clip of her "I really, really need the toilet".

Next cut of the camera and they're standing outside the block of flats buzzing the door intercom.  She wasn't particularly showing signs of desperation, but the clips could have been assembled in any order to be honest.

It does seem to be a recurring thing on these programmes - always the female paramedics and almost every other programme where someone will declare they need a wee.

I know a couple of paramedics, and from what they say they often don't get time between shouts and they often miss breaks or they try and order a coffee at a takeaway and get called before they can collect it.  From what they say, they mostly manage to pee when they are handing off patients at hospital because that is where they have to hang around.   I did once have an appointment at the doctors surgery and the person who saw me was a paramedic.  I asked her what caused her to change from being on the road to being in the surgery.  She said it was because she was fed up of never knowing when she would get a break.  I said that it must be difficult, if it is non stop and you can't even grab a mug of tea.  She said that the worst part was not getting toilet breaks and she said that she was no stranger to peeing in the back of the ambulance when the need arose.  I was a bit surprised that she shared that information with me, but she was completely matter of fact about it - I think to her it was just a fact of life and nothing to be embarrassed about - typical medical attitude I guess.

Is a film that is broadcast on TV fair game or this forum? If so I can recommend watching a film called 'Raw' Directed by Julia Ducournau, (2016). Be warned, it's a very gruesome horror film, but there is a scene between the two sisters in the film, in which the eldest initiates a pee contest, she stands and says to the youngest to push her pelvis out, she demonstrates it from the rear view and we see the pee stream, but the other sister is unable to do it and falls to the floor laughing, saying that she is still pissing herself.

Just caught up with an old episode of the C4 comedy series Friday Night Dinner, where sleepwalking neighbour Jim (Mark Heap) pees on a painting of Jackie (Tamsin Greig) that was an anniversary present from husband Martin (Paul Ritter). Jim thinks the painting looks like Margaret Thatcher (I thought @steve25805 might like that 😉).

It's at 2:35 in this YouTube clip

That show is fucking hilarious and one of my favourite scenes in the entire show. Not as good as The Inbetweeners which had a pee scene as well lol. RIP Paul Ritter
