This. Just this. You know I wear my heart on my sleeve. So you won't be surprised that the perfection of this song makes me cry. Decemberists in Birmingham seven years ago was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Colin Meloy is a genius.

I was watching the 'ten years on' special programme about the TV comedy "Friday Night Dinners" last night. One of the programme's stars is the wonderful and quirky Tamsin Greig. You know those days when you set out to run with the best of intentions and before a mile is gone you're thinking "Hmm. It's just not right today. I have three options: I could stop now and walk home; I could carry on with my training plan and fail ignominiously; or I could change my plan and do something different."
