I have said elsewhere on the forum, but I lived in dorms which had male and female floors with sinks in the rooms and a group of three toilets in the corridor. It was common for male and female residents to use their sinks to pee. The sinks were set into countertops which were well supported and quite low. It was quite likely that the designers considered them likely to be used for peeing and made them convenient for such a purpose for both male and female use. Further to the above, I found a Pee scene in I May Destroy You, available on BBC iPlayer, Series one, Episode 3, at 17:50. The Bella stops to pee on the pavement after a night out drinking. First shot is a close up as she is squatted and starts to pee. As the pee rolls down the slope the camera shot widens to show her male companion stood with his back to her. She says "If you look I swear to God that I will fucking kill you". You can hear a nice trickle.

Great that you were able to re-enact your earlier experiences. That's a perfect sighting! Totally unexpected and with someone who didn't mind being seen and engaged in conversation. That's pretty impressive that it dealt with all that oil without ending up with an oil slick on the surface. The chemicals must have done some of the work though because the filter is below the surface and the oil would float, unless it was able to mix with the water to form an emulsion. @sunny.puppy, As I'm not equipped with the relevant anatomy, I am sure that there are people much better placed to advise you, but from what I've read and seen, I gather that the secret is in using your fingers to spread your lips, pushing your pelvis forward and starting and stopping quickly - i.e. try to start with a full pressure stream rather than letting it dribble and then cut off abruptly when you are done. There are various guides online which you could try. If you search "Learn to Pee Standing" you should find something helpful.
