I probably spend more time writing my own stories than reading other people's books

There have been so few movie adaptations of books, I won't see a movie version of a book I liked. The only exception was the lord of the rings. The movies were great, and true to the books.

It's a great series, it puts the story line against historical events. I finished the latest book, which was over 800 pages, in a few days.

I have just finished a book by Ken Follett, 'The Armour of Light', the latest in his 'Kingsbridge' series. I like those semi-historical novels. A few months ago, I reread Isaac Asimov's 'Foundation' series, now seven books. My tastes are eclectic

Generally, I don't believe 'Southern Baptist' and 'Christian' go together in the same sentence... there are some real christian churches who are very accepting of all people. In the one I attend, we are very diverse, and the choir director and another member of the choir are a same sex married couple.

Broken again today...

Raised church of England, drifted away for many years, until the death of both parents and my wife. Returned first the a local Anglican church (note: in the USA, Anglican means a very conservative branch), left that for a far more accepting Episcopal church. Happy there.
