What happens to our members?

I was looking through the list of birthdays etc,and it seems we currently have about 20 regular visitors, such as myself,Steve,Sophie,Sephora, puddyls,Wetman,a few others, but hundreds of one-time or a few weeks users.I myself have sent nice greetings messages to dozens of new joiners, who have only visited once or a few times..What happened to Vikka,CrissyP,Sally Westbury,WetFetishCat?MissPiss we understand she went with a new life of course.Loveangel only maybe once every few weeks.ScotLover seems to be less around, living in Oz i suppose makes it tricky to interact..

Also people do tend to have lives outside of peefans of course, but its a shame people dont seem to enjoy the interactions you can have with other pee fetishists. It would be nice if people stuck with it and tried to have fun.Anyway,IM usually around if anyone wants saucy chat.

I guess people move on to other things in their lives - new jobs,  relationships, holidays  etc. that interrupt their activities here.

I specially miss Sally Westbury's posts, she seemed like a truly sensuous lady.

Some would write to me once or twice a week.. and I don't hear from them anymore. It is possible when the other owner shut down this wonderful forum, they stopped or went somewhere else.

I guess some come and go, and since this fetish can be new to people, new to relationships, or looking for information like I once did. What kept me here was the nice and helpful people. So this community does have it's place.

I too wonder what happens to the many people who sign up here, post for a while, and then disappear.  It's not peculiar to this forum either as I've noticed it on many others.  I know from my own experience that 'life' often gets in the way of what I'd like to do online and it's not always possible to contribute to the various forums of which I'm a member in the way that I'd like - and probably should.  I try to come here when I can though - and sometimes cum afterwards!

Under the original format it was easy to see that many of the members joined on day one and that was the last seen of them.  Apparently their curiosity was satisfied.  Still many others signed up one day and would put in an appearance once or twice more and then would be gone.  It almost sounds like the first group.  I remember one group of girls that joined and carried on quite nicely interacting with members of the forum.  They said that they had joined on a dare.  They enjoyed the interaction enough that they kept it up for a few days.  I would guess that their curiosity was satisfied and did not want to waste their time checking on the forum.

Since we never get to talk to the quickie members we can never query them.

There have been members who were quite active for a considerable length of time.  Many of them had an avatar, which to me shows that they were interested in this forum.  However, their life seems to have taken a turn and they are no longer with us.

I'd say the key reasons are:

  1. The site is now actually operating under a whole new name, and the original WatchGirlsPeeing.com domain has gone. Anyone not aware of this update may simply not be able to find us.
  2. Members 'giving up' after the various periods of downtime we've had, again possibly because they do not even realise the site is back. Whilst all is good now, there has been some downtime over the years. I wasn't here when a lot of the biggest problems arose (the software change etc), but things like that can be damaging.
  3. The member count quite literally decreases when unactivated accounts get deleted after so long of not being activated.
  4. Members simply forgetting the site - whilst likely not the case with the members you mentioned, I am sure for those who don't become a big part of the community, it is possible to simply lose the link or forget it even existed.
  5. Members getting what they need and moving on - sometimes people just want to see a few things here and aren't looking for active membership. Certainly the vast majority of forum users (no matter what the forum) tend to be readers rather than contributors.
  6. Members getting bored of the site - I hope this is rarely the case, but for some pee perhaps isn't their biggest interest, or this site doesn't have quite the right kind of content for their tastes, and they go elsewhere.
  7. Members decide to use the site as a guest for anonymity reasons instead (or use the 'anonymous' login setting, and are actually still here!).
  8. Things come up in people's lives. This is probably one of the most common, and has happened to me. Sometimes using a site like this regularly just becomes impossible, and you are forced into essentially leaving.
  9. Choosing to leave for personal reasons. Wanting to spend more time with their family, wanting to cut back on their porn/pee content intake etc are all very plausible and real reasons members decide to leave. As you said yourself, this was the case with MissPiss, and quite likely some of the others.
  10. They're crazy. PeeFans is a great community, so maybe they're just a little mad for not sticking around. :)

Having said that, the number of active returning users is actually pretty high, but it feels like less because, as you said, a much smaller proportion of those actually contribute regularly. Different people have different uses for the site, I guess...

I'm still here, lol.

Probably look less active because of when I became a moderator, my ladies don't use my account anymore, for obvious reasons. They used to log on, and read, keep up with the latest, post an odd story, all under my account.

I have tried to get them to create an account but there is not much interest so far.

My internet in this country town is also another reason, but I'm working with a telco to get a cable service connected, but it's a slow process.

I only wound up here because I follow Puddyls on Twitter, she mentioned another site similar to this one that I'm having great difficulties navigating (and I'm still not allowed to see my own profile there because I haven't posted enough yet).  I accidentally found this site (WAY easier to get around), and here she is again!  The poor thing must think I'm stalking her.

What I'm actually doing (beyond perving all you wonderful folk), is staking my user-name wherever I can in case it becomes my 'brand'.  That way if I become famous (hey, it's vaguely possible!), I won't have to pay thousands to some spotty oik holding my ID hostage.

Don't wanna be judgemental but if you want a place to be your house, you can let it down if it let YOU down, even get angry against it because it wasn't there for you when you need, but also re-start looking for it.

I was a lurker on the former domain and followed it here, still lurking

this forum is so frequently and boldly updated that it is impossible for people to simply move on. I mean, when I used to be a lurker I logged in, scrolled the stories and videos section, finger, and quit, but the following day I was here again

here, this is something I can dig (slang, it means I find it convincing and possible)

my greatest fear, would I ever to change my typology of employement, a backoffice job allows  me to link 24/7 since as long as I'm doing my work fittingly nobody monitors me

Personally and ONLY PERSONALLY speaking, cutting things down doesn't make people more mature or more free, pee is an ancient-as-time feature and we could never, nor we ever should, refrain from our fetish. I will maybe, in a far future, be less active then now, but I'll never leave (not again) unless for a single problem, the only one that could really push me to leave forever, not before having provided the Admin with a written letter from my advocate compelling the utter elimination of all my contributions, ad that is

getting actually disrespected (and the poor fucker would also learn what does it means to fuck with somebody who got friends both among the occult and hackers community)

I kept this for last because I find it to be an actual problem:

This forum is incredible and I think it takes YEARS for people to exhaust what it has to give so what I am writing should NOT be quoted nor liked by people who complains of the site after being here for a week, but I really explored a good 90% of it and sincerely, without the great add Admin is gonna offer us all, the site CAN indeed become, how can I say, not boring, never boring, but... less tight. Less compact. New stories are less frequently uploaded. Videos are great and my major turn on but... after 4 years around here, I feel the need for more INTERACTION

That's why I actually registered after years of lurking. Interactive thread die after little time, @Sophie creates jokes and after a week nobody partecipate anymore, people post awsome shit and it almost go ignored

I PM with a lot of people and that is great, and post a lot of things, but posting is not interacting, if people see what I mean...

Nobody should be pushed to do anything on a forum, I'm just saying that sometimes it seems that the light as already been hit, and we are just too bright, thanks to how high did we rose, to notice that brightness had indeed started decreasing

Admin is gonna add a MARVELLOUS thing very soon but we need to return to be A COMMUNITY more than a hosting site for stories and videos

To be honest I often get caught up in the process of posting pics myself - mainly because the process of finding them and adding them to my stash, then ultimately sharing them is something that arouses me. After spending two or three hours on it I generally need to knock one out, lol.

Undoubtedly this means I spend less time interacting than I should. I also struggle to find the time to post stories. I do always respond to PMs though if anyone feels the need to get in touch.

no no no Steve I didn't mean that, oh please forgive me I'm so sorry!!!

I meant that people who are less "spiritually contributing" than you (who are listed among those who the forums EXISTS due to, so that your presence is ALWAYS felt), I mean we little ones, should marches under one flag, rather than being "site visitors"

Nothing to forgive you for, you haven't done anything wrong.

The words I wrote were the way I see things myself, and not because I was defensive about anything you said.

How can we get more people to interact? It just seems like there are 25 or so people who actively post, react, comment on posts and everyone else is just here as a name. For a little while, there were more new members saying g'day, but lately, even this has tapered off, and those new people posted once or twice, then faded away.

Take the chat for instance, I don't know how many times I've been on at 7.00am said hello, then said G'nite at 9.00pm the same day, with no one saying boo. I know my Timezone is backwards with the majority of the planet, but this can happen for 3 days before I get a bite.

How do we get more interest?

Mary bought up an interesting point, she was thinking that because of societies taboo on the subject, maybe people are still reluctant to talk about this, join the site, but are too embarrassed to share, could this be the problem?

You almost describe me perfectly. I’ll always check in here every few weeks, though only when I’m in the mood to read rather than watch, as there’s other places more suited to that space. I’ll always keep coming back on occasion unlike peesearch that I gave up on.

Out of all of the sites that I frequent, this is the one that I do recommend people that have a real interest in the area to come along and visit.

Just needs tweaks on keeping it active to be the first site I think to vist when online.

Hope this doesn’t sound negative as I really appreciate what the admins and the regular posters bring to this site

No, doesn't sound negative at all, I definitely know what you mean. Are there any tweaks in particular you'd like to see though, or any changes that would make PeeFans become the first site you think of?

I am sending a welcome message to the new joiners when ever possible. I really want to encourage them to post something too.

I do it too, often they appreciate, sometimes they explain me through PM that cheerfully-welcomed or not, they prefer to read and watch without posting, so at that point I avoid being pushy and just let it go

This thread asks, "What happens to our members?"

Well I can't speak for anyone else, but here's what happens to MY member:-

I get horny, it gets hard.

I knock one out, and it goes soft again.
