  1. Windows 10 (x2), Vista (x1), Win 98 (x1), Marshmallow (x1) , and various linux-based consumer items for which I don't know the OS versions (TV, PVR, Ebook-reader etc.)
  2. Clicking on the dot (or the star) takes you to the earliest post that you, personally have not yet read in the thread. If someone replies to your thread, the title will appear to you in bold until you read their reply.
  3. Thank you, that all works fine for me now. As you correctly deduced, I was trying to do it all from the condensed version in the corner of the page.
  4. Wow, that brought back a long forgotten memory. When I was a child I used to put a layer of paper in the bowl so no-one would hear the splashing. I can't imagine being so shy now. I can't remember how old I was before I stopped doing it.
  5. I can't find anything in the menu button to let me do this. The menu lets me change the colour and toggle the sound, but there's nothing about creating its own window or resizing. For me the chat is just a very small window which seems to be anchored at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I can't find any way to move it or resize it. (I'm using firefox.)
  6. It's a tremendously useful skill but I'm really bad at it. I have an old stick welder that has no current (Amps) control so it can only use one size of rod. Would really like to learn MIG and TIG welding. What do you think of the machines that can do MIG, TIG and stick welding all in the one unit? My funniest welding trick yet: I was once welding a mudguard onto a trailer and burned a hole through the thin metal. The molten iron that fell through the hole set my jeans on fire, but I didn't notice until I felt the heat of the flames on my leg. 😮 Luckily for me there was some
  7. That is appalling. Here in Australia we banned all foreign arrivals more than a month ago, and brought in mandatory 14 day quarantine for all residents returning home. As a result we are now getting the disease under control with only a handful of new infections each day. I can't imagine why the UK government is acting so stupidly.
  8. I encountered some pay toilets in Thailand. There was usually a man sitting at a table by the entrance and collecting the fees from both men and women. The charge was 5 Baht (About 12p, or 25 cents Australian) I think it must have been to pay for cleaning as the facilities were very clean inside. It's OK by me if that's how they want to arrange things, but I did find that most restaurants and bars there provided toilets for customers at no charge.
  9. I will add my voice to the chorus. I've been looking at Pornhub for years and I have never seen any under age content of any kind there.
  10. "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity." Robert A. Heinlein.
  11. Steve, since you work in food supplies, will you be a key worker? The supermarkets here are hiring thousands of extra people who will be filling orders for home delivery to people who are locked down. It's a massive upheaval, but it sounds like your government is taking it very seriously, which is a good thing. Australia's Tory government has made a complete backflip and begun implementing many socialist policies in order to keep the economy alive while so many businesses are closed down. (They will never admit this of course, but I'm glad they had the gumption to actually do
  12. I'm back in Australia, having cut short my Thailand holiday and taken an earlier flight home. My original return flights were cancelled, and there is a strong possibility that international air travel will soon be completely suspended, so I'm glad I managed to get back to Australia without getting stranded. It's good to be home. I'm now confined to my house for 14 days of mandatory quarantine. Not a problem for me because I am retired and have everything I need at home. Woolworths are providing a service for home delivery of groceries to people who are in quarantine, and I had my f
  13. Thailand seems to be managing it well. Their citizens who returned from China have been quarantined at a naval hospital for 14 days, and have recently gone home after tests showed they did not have the virus. One person is still being treated at the hospital. There have been no cases reported in the town where I am going. Fatality rates seem to be pretty low. Estimates range from 0.5% to 4%. I suspect the low end of the range is more likely, as many people get such mild symptoms from the virus that they may not know they have it, so would not be counted in the statistics.
  14. Yes, a lot. Thai culture is much less hostile to them than than our western culture is.
  15. I have to say I agree with you on this. There is no God, there is no "vast eternal plan." Everything that happens is purely random chance. Life has, by chance, dealt you a really lousy hand. This is not your fault, you are not being "punished" for anything, there is no reason behind it. It's nothing more than the blind luck of the draw. The only option you have is to think of ways to play the cards you were dealt, in the best way you can. In the long run, nobody wins the game of life. Not even the richest corpse in the cemetery. We can only try to find some small but
  16. You can encrypt the files yourself before you upload them. Then a hacker can do nothing with them. Winzip can create an archive with AES encryption I think. Without the encryption key, nobody can see the files inside the zip.
  17. With our present rate of pollution and environmental destruction, I estimate that the human race is on track for extinction in the next 200 years, not 1000. The majority of people either don't care, or make whiney excuses about how they have to run an oil furnace instead of just insulating their damned house. As pollution and the climate disaster destroy all our food producing lands, and all fish stocks in the oceans, it seems likely that the wars fought over the last remaining food supplies will escalate until nuclear, biological and chemical weapons are deployed. Extinction is
  18. I'm due to fly to Thailand in three weeks. I hope we have a clearer idea of the risk by then. I don't want to cancel my trip because I would lose a substantial amount of money on non-refundable bookings, but if there turns out to be significant danger, it's obviously better to lose a few thousands than to lose one's life.
  19. Yes, I really love women's natural scents. They are more erotic for me than any perfume. That delicious sexy odor of a woman's pussy always makes me want to kiss and lick.
  20. 17 years, from age 22 to 40 approximately. Do I win a prize?
  21. Just remember, when you hit 60, 54 will be the "good old days," so make the most of it now while it's happening.
  22. Sadly not true in Australia. Our farmers endlessly vote for more environmental destruction.

    Slits...

So pretty, I am just filled with a desire to kiss their lovely slits.
  24. It would be nice if only the duplicate pictures could be removed, but I understand that is difficult to achieve on the platform that the forum uses. I agree with Sophie that it would be a serious loss if we no longer had the early posts.
