It's really hard to give advice. You know your wife better than any of us. You've had a bad patch and come through it. She's said she'll do something for you. I'd say you've both done amazing things already. (I speak from the perspective of a long-married man whose relationship has also been through really tough times, by the way and come through them - though we still have our ups and downs like any long-term partners.)

I did wonder if the first time she tries wetting her panties in the shower you should suggest she does it behind closed doors then tells you about it afterwards. I know you won't take as much from the experience that way, but sometimes what's a block is the whole being watched thing. Little steps - if she's comfortable with that, a next step would be to have you watch, but passively. I reckon you've got it right, @gldenwetgoose. Thanks for flagging this Steve. I hope I haven't been guilty of precipitating this change and if I have I am very sorry. I have recently posted a few animated gifs that made full use of the previous file size limit, simply because I thought that people respond well to animated gifs in posts. I am aware that they are very large files and inefficient for what is essentially short video content. If I promise not to do it again, could the file size limit be put back up as @steve25805 and @gldenwetgoose suggest?

It's not as simple as it sounds. And I absolutely agree with Pauly that a full bladder can be counterproductive. But when you get it right it is absolutely wonderful to pee when walking or running: incredibly liberating and satisfying. Forget about trying to photograph or video the experience though. Pretty much impossible!

I didn't think I had many unusual habits and quirks, but I made the mistake of mentioning this to the family, who promptly came up with a few for me.

Apparently I use daft words for things: when I am going to pay a cheque in I will always say "I am going to pay a chicken". Or if I am late for something, I will say "I'm all moo" (as in "I'm all behind, like a cow's tail", which has become shortened to "moo"). 

And I go out to talk often to the little birds that come into the garden, as if they were family members.

And I regularly get a long way ahead in preparing a meal - such as half cooking the evening meal straight after breakfast, including doing all the washing up, drying up and putting away of the pots and pans.

Nothing too serious I think. I'd like to think these are all endearing quirks, but apparently they're not.
