I guess there’s two particular things, though: young kids might take it too literally about being able to go pee anywhere and, for example, pee very obviously on a wall outside the school, at which point saying “but mom said I could!” to the teacher won’t go very far. I’ll pee outdoors if I can do it discreetly & conveniently. If I’m bathing, showering or swimming I’ll make no effort to pee in a toilet first & then pee in the shower/water.
