Is there a place that men can pee but women can't?

Recommended Posts

I think women can owe anywhere that a man can pee, but many women wouldn’t do so.  Thankfully we have plenty of ladies here who show that it can be done.

I think the only place that ladies can’t pee that men can would be a place where women were not permitted to be such as a men’s changing room - however even that isn’t true because women can go into those places if they are bold enough.  They may get funny looks or resistance, but physically there is nothing stopping them.  These days all a woman has to do is say that they identify as a man (even if they don’t) and not a lot can be said.

I doubt you'd get away with that whilst wearing a minidress! 😂😉

N-B/T PERSON Actually no I wouldn’t

SOCIETY Here you go then [flaming dumpster falls from sky in style of slapstick grand piano]

I'd probably say through the flies of trousers - assuming they are the classic style modelled after men's trousers rather than a specially made trouserfly for the female form.

Yes, that is probably true as they don’t usually undo far enough, although is that a how rather than where question?

Would certainly attract a few queries and looks, but these days it seems you can get away with a lot of you are bold enough!

So I just started college and I'm on the diving team as I was in High School. The locker rooms are totally different in college, no more dark dingy rooms with never a coach around, these are big, clean training rooms, with coaches, male and female walking around the place, pulling us away individually to review our performance. The older woman coach has seen me nude in the showers and has spoken to me while I was changing and no one thinks anything of it.

Have any of the female coaches seen you or anyone else peeing in the locker room?

Not that I'm aware of, but it's odd, as it's totally different there. At my old school I was for years literally the only guy not pissing around the locker room. But here, I've only seen a couple of guys do so and very discreetly. I have noticed most of the guys pee while showering and that's what I've been doing, since I again don't feel comfortable just peeing in the changing area.

Well @naughty_rosie  - I really hope the answer is a big fat no.   At least in the first world surely there is no place where only a man can pee, because I really hope that we have reached a position of equillibrium.

Partly I mean that from the point of stamping out misogyny - now a quarter of the way through this 21st century, why should there be any place where a lady can't work alongside a man.   We have lady presidents and prime ministers, fighter pilots, astronauts and sports champions.  Why should there be any place reserved only for a man.

And partly I mean that women are emboldened to piss where they want - it's not just us encouraging all to piss freely.  Of course we do that, we encourage all manner of peeing for all reasons.  But we also know in the world in general it's far more accepted that ladies pee, and will do when they need to. Whether it's a big brother TV documentary showing pee, or a TV drama.   Whether it's girls on a night out, or on the hiking trail.  Let the pee be free.

In theory it should be a world of equality, but unfortunately it's not as a yougov poll shows twice as many men have peed in a bush than women, 4 times as many in their own yards and more than 5 times more guys have pissed in streets, so for whatever reason, women certainly don't do so in public. The polls for peeing in showers, bathtubs, pools and the sea were about the same for men and women, but then no one can see you doing that.

Thanks - and that is interesting.   I'm guessing (sadly) that the two main factors on public spaces would be fear of being sexually targeted physically or verbally and also the cultural 'ladies don't behave like that' thinking.  Possibly also for a lot of ladies in the yard scenario, the thinking that peeing will be messy and hence going inside to use a bathroom.

It'd be interesting to see how the figures compared in say an 18-30 age group - since those figures obviously are all ages.  It's reasonable to think there's not too many respectable parent / grandparent age ladies peeing in bushes or suburban streets, but for the younger ages it may be a much more equally balanced picture.

Some of YouGov's polls have a link to the data, but don't see one for that. I would guess younger women would be closer to men's numbers too, but oddly in some of their other polls middle age and older people seem to be more likely to pee in showers and pools than younger people.  I think that this poll is probably right because I can say from my own experience that I've never seen or heard of my mom, aunt or grandmother ever peeing outside, yet all three of them have told me that it's perfectly fine for me (as a guy) to do so. My mom was rather insisting that I become comfortable doing so as a guy there will be times when it's expected of me.  It's just rather interesting to me as you see so many pics and vids of women peeing in public here, but in reality they don't do so very often.

I believe the key is "have", not could (or may).

There are still societal pressures - many of these are enforced by other women more than men. For example, women being topless. It has "supposedly" been legal in New York State, USA since 1992, but I have never witnessed a regular woman swimming or sunbathing topless, except at specialty nude beaches or a very few on the street going for a shock factor.
