Nah, I couldn't really go that far behind the shed because stuff was in the way, so I just went on the ground. The most people could see was my back though.

I have to say I’m shocked at how many people pee in pools! I’ve never done it and I’ve never known a partner or friend who does either. Im not sure I want to swim again 🤣

I *finally* have something to contribute to posts like these lol.

If I'm swimming in the pool I'm gonna pee in it no doubt. If I'm sunbathing I'd be tempted to get in the pool to pee, but it would be cold and I'd have to dry off again, so I'd be more inclined to go to the locker room. Now I've peed out in the open over a drain before and that would definitely be my go to, but if not then I'd go to the showers. If both sections are busy then I guess it's the boring toilet for me lol.

Well, asking here is maybe going to give a slightly skewed perspective - we are after all Peefans.   Asking 100 people in the street if they'd let a stranger pee on them would probably give a very different answer than asking 100 of us if we'd let a stranger pee on us.  Not saying 100 people here would, but you know what I mean.

So it could it be more accurate to say you've "never known a partner of friend who admits to doing either"?    Maybe people do, but everyone thinks they're the only one and thinks everyone else would disapprove - so nobody admits to it but many people do?

It's been frequently mentioned, if you're at an enclosed pool and it smells of Chlorine, it's not actually the Chlorine itself but the product of the Chlorine combining with urine, sweat and other contaminants.  In other words if it smells, it's been peed in.

Actually, we're not so much more liberal in pools than the general public. Various other sources reveal this silent majority. A book, "Do you do it with the lights on" revealed that 43% of Americans pee in pools. A "babycenter" poll showed that 58% of moms do so when watching kids at pools and even "smarter traveler" says that 64% of American tourists pee in pools.

I've mentioned it before in more detail, but I've seen a female lifeguard get down off her viewing chair, sit on the side of the pool for less than a minute, splash her bikini bottoms with water and go back to the chair.  She was definitely peeing.  So, not only do they do it, but they do it when they can be seen, so it is obviously accepted.

Prior to swimming I’ll let pee build up during the day so I’m desperate by the time I get to the pool. When in water I generate a lot of pee (physiology of water temperature and pressure) and this will push me into uncontrollable leaking, whilst stress-incontinence caused by messing around and climbing in & out of the water will force out bigger spurts, all this happening without my friends being aware which adds to the feeling of naughtiness! Finish off at the end of the swim either around the pool or in the showers.

I don't like pissing in the pool mostly because I find it weird to do so with people around me. 

I do however, go to the bathrooms and piss all over them instead 🙂 usually these toilets are so wet from pool water that you will never get caught doing this anyways

It's an old poll and certainly we're a bit more liberal than the general public, however not as much so as you might think. Various mainstream poll put the percentage of swimmers who pee in pools at somewhere between 36% and 42%.  Showers at 65% to 80% and locker room floors at around 30% for men.

As a scientist, I’d say that asking here is probably gonna get more that a little bit skewed perspective/answers :’) 

I was raised rather stricly and always got out of the pool to use the restrooms, even when I got older and my pee-fetish was already very much a thing. I guess I just thought in terms of etiquette/ being polite/etc.
 

After my late teens I never really went to swimming pools again. The ocean or large natural lakes were the only places I went swimming after that. There are often no toilets around so I got used to peeing in the water (and enjoying it 😚). Last year I was staying at a hotel with a medium sized indoor swimming pool and I went for a late night swim. I hadn’t even thought of peeing in the pool at that point but after swimming a few laps I felt some need to pee. Still, at first I figured I would just hold it until I got back to my hotelroom. Once I started thinking of maybe peeing just a little bit in the water things started to spiral quite quickly. I ended up emptying my whole bladder and felt a bit guilty afterwards, but tbh, this might happen again 😗

If its my own pool or a small private pool we always get out and pee beside it. Peeing in pools ends up causing the pool maintenance people to have to add more chemicals to counteract the pee. These chemicals are not good for your skin. Thus, the cleaner you can keep the water the better. I was taught to get out of the pool for this reason since I was young.  

Growing up I would mostly swim in the summers and that meant I was usually in Europe. In this context there was no shame or hesitation in peeing in the grass or bushes beside the pool. My cousins and I always peed freely near the family pools in France and Spain and never felt the need to hide it. 

When I was very young I remember being reminded to pee before getting in the pool and reminded to get out and take pee breaks. I have the distinct memory of being changed near a deck chair on the gravel beside the pool. A nanny grabbed my arm to keep me from jumping straight into the pool, squeezed it to get my attention and asked if I had to pee. This inspired me to pee right there. While she was still holding my arm I remember looking down and seeing the pee emerge from my penis, arc down into the gravel and splash back a bit. This inspired one of my female cousins to come over, look at me, squat down and also pee on the same gravel. I remember watching both our stream wet the arid gravel. I was then told I was a good boy and allowed to get in the pool.

Sometimes we would just get out of the pool, take a few steps and pee on the deck, gravel or grass. Other times I would pee on a stone wall and leave a mark. I remember when one of us would get out to pee the others would often follow to join in. I’ve mentioned before that my cousins would often have pee races on sloped surfaces. We did not have a slope by any of these pools they would often pee beside each other on hard surfaces comparing streams/puddles.

As we became teens we would be a bit more modest going to the bushes or walls but no one tried to hide the fact we were getting out of the pool to pee. I can even remember pool parties much later and no one, even external guests tried terribly hard to hide it.

I can also remember spending time at public pools in Germany when I was young. It seemed regular practice to pee wherever in the grass beside the pool. 

It was not until much later that I really considered peeing in the pool. I think the first time was at a massive Las Vegas pool party where everyone was drinking. In the US peeing outside a pool is much more verboten and the girls I was with were talking freely about peeing in the pool. 

The first time I was ever told to pee in a pool was years later when taking a scuba certification class. I suppose this instructor felt everyone peeing in this large public pool anyway. 

 

These days, I’ve passed on the practice to strongly encouraging our family not to pee in the pool so we can keep chemicals at a minimum.

Well certainly, if it's my own property or somewhere private I'd much rather pee besides the pool like in bushes or something.
In large public pools however, at least the ones I've been to, half of the bathrooms were broken and they are often located in the complete opposite direction so yeah, much less easy to relieve it properly.

I don't think I've ever peed in a pool, not as an adult anyways. 

Since reading all your stories, however, I decided to try something that is not just the toilet. 

My friend and I were at an indoor pool. I wasn't at all desperate and decided to just see how I felt later. So I didn't deliberately set out to pee but also figured I might try to go somewhere nice if the need arose.

I didn't feel like peeing in the pool, but as I was swimming, I was looking at the floor being cleaned. It seemed like this big machine was wiping the floor almost all the time, maybe every 30 minutes or so. It seemed to me that peeing on the floor would not create much trouble. 

So as we got out and started walking to the showers I relaxed my bladder and peed a bit down my legs. I didn't want to go full flow, so I released just a bit. I stopped for a small moment and then resumed again very slowly. As I was pissing, two men came towards us, but I am pretty sure they noticed nothing.

Pissing like this was a lot easier than I imagined it would be.

Then we got in the showers and chatted. I only emptied the rest from my bladder after my friend left (it is normal that I take a bit longer to wash and condition my hair) and there was nobody right next to me. I still went very slowly down my legs to not draw any attention to myself.

This kind of pissing didn't really feel very kinky, as it felt pretty easy and natural.
