A family thing?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I've had a quite interesting thought (at least for me) in my head during the last few days so I decided to ask you all once again for opinions.

Do you think our passion for peeing is hereditary and maybe we secretly got it from our parents and in a few years or more there's a chance that we will give it to our children?

I don't know if my parents have this fetish, even though I wouldn't be surprised if they had since peeing, wetting etc. has always been a regular topic in our family life.

Anyway, if anyone has thoughts or experiences they want to share I'd like to hear them.

When we are kids we might have experiences that gets conected sexually but we don't know that then because children don't have those feelings but later in life it evolves into a fetish  tho i remember when i was a litle boy i felt "weird" if a girl peed near me haha. It could also be genetical but i doubt it.

I personally think there might be something genetical involved ... The reason I came to this thought is because my family on my mother's "side" are almos all very passionate about the arts and creating artworks, including myself (and my mother every now and again), so if this love for the arts can be transmitted why not also our pee fetish?

... But I'm not a neurologist or whatever, so there's a realistic chance that I might be wrong haha

As far as i know science does not have good explanations for how / why these things happen.. I think it is somehow nice that it is not clear why our brains / bodies go completely bananas when we see someone pee lol!

I was reading recently about synaesthesia, where people perceive one sense as another, like perceiving number 12 as orange. As far as neurologists can tell, this relates to the mind’s predilection to make connections between distantly related things, and there’s a genetic component - as many things, it’s nature, nurture, and luck combined.

What I don’t know is whether a pee fetish comes from a family being strict or being open. If you grow up in a family that leaves the bathroom door open, you’ll find it normal to see people peeing when you are on intimate terms with them? Or, the more the taboo, the more the excitement?

Pretty sure mine is not hereditary, both my parents (no longer with us)  were very uptight about things like that. I like to think that deep down everyone is hard wired to like pee at birth and it's educated/scared/shamed out of us when we're little. In much of the animal kingdom urine and the smell of it is involved in marking territory and mating, maybe we were all like that once...just a thought.

That’s what @spywareonya said. I think she’s right. No bidets in the ancestral environment...

I don't know. I just think sexuality is too complicated for genetics.

Also pretty sure none of my family is into this. Then again none of tbh e rest of my family are autistic or lgbt.

Of course, I don't actually know if dad is really my biological father, given that I only have mum's word for it. Lol.

I don't know if there's a genetic predisposition. I suspect my Dad might have been into it. I know he was very happy to pee in the countryside on walks. And he was happy to tell us all that he used to play a game when peeing in the toilet - he would flush first, then see whether he could finish his pee before the flushing finished. that suggests to me someone who was happy to play a bit during the act of peeing.

I think it can be different for each individual, Our brains are so complicated that it can be a combination of genetic factors and/or environmental factors. The internet has definitely played a role in promoting fetishes. People are now exposed to each other's fetishes and if one has a slight propensity toward a fetish, it is easier to search out like minded people and exchange ideas and find acceptance. Thus the fetish can easily become amplified in ones mind.

I don't know anything about the sexual lives and kinks of any of my family, so it is hard to know what's in their minds. And as this is the case for many families, research into the subject would be hard and probably biased by people answering less honestly than they should. Unlikely that we'll ever find out.

I do like the hypothesis of pee being inately a sexual thing and despite it having lost its evolutionary importance (we use fences instead of urine to mark our territories...), it would explain why so many of us don't know where our fetish originates (see below):

I kinda think hereditary! And upbringing.

As a child growing up in a one bathroom house and being male, if the bathroom was occupied I went outside and pissed off the back porch.  If I was outside and needed to pee I found a tree and was taught to do that.

If I went hunting with my dad or friends if we needed to piss we found a good tree or creek bank and pissed.

Now the hereditary part, after I was a adult I think both my parents were into it, and wonder if that's why I have such a strong desire for all aspects of it.

If my dad was using the bathroom my mom would go in their bedroom and piss in there trash can! And I seen it where she left it in there and you could smell it also!! And when I was still a kid it was nothing to go to the bathroom with my mom or grandmother if I was with them shopping or them to carry me to the bathroom.

Then my dad kept a piss can at his shop to pee in when he needed to.

And while growing up my dad worked at several garages and the bathrooms were always a mess and smelt strongly of piss.

So I think it's both hereditary and environment.

Huh, no sharing of the bathroom? Or an excuse to go pee in the trash can...

I had a friend. (Was a ex gf).    Told me later in life after having 5 kids that she would tell her kids as they were school clothes shopping as little kids to just pee in the dressing rooms as they were all trying on clothes with her in there.     She said her mother had her and her sister do the same when they were young.   So maybe a little bit what is taught as well.

Yeah, I can see with my mom, my aunt and some things that I've seen on like youtube and tick tok that the rules of society kinda go out the window if it's a mom with a bunch of kids, whereas if it's a single guy it's viewed as crude. Seems like a lot of people take pity on the mom dragging kids around, whether it's at a store, a playground or a pool.
