I've noticed the popcorn smell in men's bathrooms and sometimes when I pee but have never smelled it in a bathroom that a woman had just used, so I assumed it was much less common for women's pee to smell like that. Though this confirms that it sometimes does.

I would say both male and female have this as a basic smell. There are other smells that differ between male and female.

I use my bedroom full time, at least when I am home. I do often travel away from home for work. My most used pee spot is in my bin but when I have had lots of water I will pee on the middle of the carpet. If I have some towels free I will pee into them as well, holding them against my groin and peeing.

Fresh dilute pee smells quite nice to me as it comes out, but best of all the smell of dried in pee. I haven't got around saying this until now, but I wanted to say that about a month ago I was at the beach and found a nice pee spot in the dunes. It didn't have the putrid, burnt-egg type grossness that I mentioned many pee spots in the sand having in a previous post in this thread. Possibly it was because it was no longer summer and/or it was really fresh. Rather, it had the bittersweet, salted-caramel-and-roasting-coffee with maybe a hint of tobacco aroma of a warm summer pee in the great outdoors. I actually took some of the sand home, and it was amazing how it held the scent for several days without getting stale and rotten.
