is it okay to piss in a sink?

Recommended Posts

as the title says, is it okay to piss in the sink? i mean are there any disadvantages, because when i am in a hotel i only use sinks (apart from other places i wont mention here) and no toilets because they are more comfortable and i kinda like it, at home i only do it occassionally and i was wondering if it could cause any problems doing it regularly, if somebody knows more about it or has some experience i would like to hear more 🙂

Many bathroom sinks have the overflow hole opposite of the faucet. If a woman pees squatting over the sink facing outward, then some of the pee may go down the overflow and stagnate, giving an ammonia odor.

Aiming the stream roughly towards the drain is probably best to reduced smell for both genders.

It will splash all over (even if you can't necessarily see it), leaving some not just in the sink but on the counter. So if you don't care about that, or do care about that but clean everything, then it's fine. Personally if I'm doing it it's because I don't care too much - I'll wash out the basin but don't bother with the rest. But I wouldn't do it at someone else's house, nor would I tell people I do this and expect them to be cool with it unless they're into it.

Yes, it’s fine. It’s pee, not dangerous chemical/industrial waste (but rinse with some water afterwards if you care about the sink not smelling like stale pee!)

i see so the splashing is no problem its still pee i kinda like that if there are little drops everywhere around😉 the odor would be a problem for me at home but in hotels i never realized any odor probably cause i only stay there for a few days 🙂

Just make sure to flush with enough water so no pee sits stall in the siphon, and make sure not to get it into the little holes of the overflow as @DoctorDoctor said (or otherwise flush those generously). Never had an issue with smell, cleaning about once a week as the rest of the place.
