Popular Post Crazypdog081 112
I just watched a movie called a Stalker in the House. In it the Female Lead walks into the bathroom and starts unzipping her jeans, my heart is racing with anticipation, she gets distracted by something for a minute, but then she drops her jeans and sits, now I'm like oh f*ck yeah, but then something happens that happens too many times in movies, the f*cking scene cuts away before she starts going. She could have been going number two but I'd guess she was gonna take a piss. I hate it when they cut away though. I wanna hear some hissing or gushing. Popular Post gldenwetgoose 20,273
Director: "So, you're going to be going into the bathroom, then as you sit down we're going to cut. Then you can take a break" Actress: "I could sure use a break, I could really use that bathroom right now. But hey, wouldn't it be more believable if we kept rolling. You know, for continuity" Director: "I guess, I mean we could sound dub some flowing water on and see what the censor board make of it" Actress: "Trust me, you won't need to dub any audio. Maybe the opposite. Now can we get on with this... please" 1 6 3 Quote Link to post
thisguy20 869
Yea, that really is annoying. Although I suspect the real reasons they cut-away are related to trying to get in under ___ (fill in the blank) rating and overall run-time for the movie. 2 Quote Link to post
The99Club 344
Isn't it worse when people's entire lives pass by in movies or on TV without anyone ever needing to use the bathroom? It is for me anyway... 2 Quote Link to post

The simple reality is that in a film such as that, peeing is utterly extraneous to the plot since it is not pee porn. So there would be no point in asking the actress to pee on film and she might regard it as a bit weird and unnecessary if asked to do so unless given a good reason why it is necessary plot wise. Mainstream films are after all not made with the arousal of pee fetshists in mind. 1 2 Quote Link to post

Yes, generally this is something which I have noticed. Coronation Street is a notable exception as people often go to the toilets in the “Rover’s Return” pub and in “Roy’s Rolls” cafe. Sally Metcalfe was even shown squatting to pee outside when her bladder begged relief on New Years Eve and the need to pee has been mentioned when Tim was hospitalised following a heart attack. Emmerdale has also touched on the subject when Marlon Dingle first returned home after his stroke and the difficulties of toileting were mentioned including others having to help him.
