wetmanjf 2,787
Just wondering....I try my best to be kind and polite to everyone I talk to...esp the females here. We try our best to tell members to treat the female members here with respect so they will enjoy coming here and not feel offended. And now I'm seeing banner ads like this...referring to females as "Sluts" I know the ads help the site but are any of the ladies here offended by these ads ? Wetmanjf Link to post
CrissyP 790
Doesn't really bother me! But, then again, I say things and talk about things here, in a manner that I never would if I was meeting someone in person. This site lets me be anonymous. You don't know me, and I don't know you! 2 Link to post
Sophie 24,410
Doesn't bother me providing i'm not being called a slut personally. 1 Link to post
Admin 14,788
The ads are pretty ridiculous to be honest, I would hope nobody takes them particularly seriously. I can assure you they're not chosen by me, just what the ad network decides to display; apparently the more outrageous they are, the better. Good question, though. If anyone does take offence to them, please do let me know. I'd genuinely be a lot more concerned about losing a member of the site than losing the small amount of extra revenue the ads bring in. They're temporary anyway, and hopefully will be gone by the end of July as it's simply to raise money for some new features. The site currently supports itself through premium membership, but I don't really have the money to invest out of my own pocket at the moment. Link to post
CrissyP 790
I agree with Sophie. As long as I'm not being called a slut personally, I'm not in the least offended. 1 Link to post
likesToLick 10,216
As a male, I refrain from using the word "slut" in forums just because it may be offensive to some. I applaud those women who are trying to reclaim the word as their own though, for example in books like "The Ethical Slut" by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. Personally, I love women who are positive about sex and willing to get what they want in defiance of stuffy conventions. If I ever used the word it would be as a term of loving endearment, but until most people see it that way, I will continue to avoid it. Link to post

In my opinion words like fuck, piss, shit are less offensive to the ear. If you use those words around me, I won't even raise an eyebrow. But the word slut gets my attention for some reason. I'm not offended by it, I just don't like it! If you want to stay on my good side, don't ever refer to me as a slut. Link to post
MissPiss 1,027
Doesn't bother me at all. The models are getting paid and choose to allow their images to be displayed in that manner. Noone is being disrespected. If they have no problem getting paid to be a slut then that is their choice. hahaha Link to post
MissAutumn 3,224
It doesn't bother me. In fact (sorry admin), I really pay the ads no attention at all. We're all so used to seeing ads on sites nowadays that it's easy to ignore them. As far as being called a slut, well, I can't say it's a term that bothers me, personally. My perspective is a little different, though, being in the open lifestyle. :) Link to post
PissOnMyParade 447
I've got adblock plus so I can't see the cube root of fuck all xD Link to post
puddyls 26,253
i think visiting sites like this, you kinda expect those sort of ads. i'm not a huge fan of the word slut, but as long as it's not directed at me, it doesn't really bother me. Link to post
Scot_Lover 1,876
I would never use this word, not even think it if I saw someone on the street. Mary has some interesting clothes she sometimes wears about the house, you know, high heels, seamed stockings, garter belt and corset ....... it's sexy, not that other derogatory word. As for banner ads and suchlike, meh, if that's what they want to be known as, fine. Link to post
PissOnMyParade 447
As a guy, I dislike the word "slut" immensely and would never use it unless I was feeling very spiteful. No self-respecting woman deserves to be called a slut, even if they say they consent to it for sexual purposes. It annoys me when I see certain porn directors mistreating their models for their own sexual pleasure. These women are what keep these assholes in a job and they're treated like meat. I won't cite examples but there is at least one porn site within our fetish group which falls into the category I mentioned. It actually really upsets me and I think more women would be open to trying watersports if porn like this didn't go to such a misogynistic extreme. Link to post

Wetmanjf It bothers me a lot as a woman, I honestly find it so disrespectful and I think all kinds of sexual relationships etc. work best with mutual respect (obviously then you can be submissive/dominant in bed, that's different) but words like slut, whore, etc. have such a historically negative connotation I really hate when they're used by anyone, especially men. Just my two cents! Link to post

NicoleHolds4U 28
By the way this whole thread actually made me so much happier and confident about joining this site and hanging out with you all! So many sex communities are so horrible toward women. You guys seem great. 3 Link to post
P-Spud 1,352
I'm really interested in this. Dictionaries define a slut as a promiscuous woman; a woman who likes to have lots of sex with lots of men. This is a bad thing? Most men dream of having lots of sex with lots of women - those who manage to do it are called studs. Yet "slut" is used as an insult. In my experience, mostly by women about other women. The few men I hear using it are religious cranks and over-zealous moralists. I'm kind of surprised that so many of our female members aren't insulted by its use - I sure would be! Their choice of course. I find myself wondering why "cunt" - a word for the most wonderful part of a woman's body - is so objectionable but "slut" - a woman that likes to use that part - gets bandied about so casually. Link to post

F.W 5,734
I think if you use your anonimity to be rude or offensive to people, especially women, then you are a lowlife. I more worry that sometimes we guys,or even myself, can perhaps go into sexual overdrive. For example, one of our lovely ladies might say something like"i had a nice walk in the park today with a friend".To which almost for sure someone will reply,"oh did you watch each other pee?"...Or maybe we do objectify them, particularly the female genital area.Im sure women accept this as being on a basically sexual site,i just hope they dont find it too O.T.T... 1 Link to post

Indeed this is called a troll 4 minutes ago, fannywatcher said: I more worry that sometimes we guys,or even myself, can perhaps go into sexual overdrive. This is complicated. Sexual overdrive just reveals what a man hides inside of himself. There is no problem with men screaming sexual obscenities to a woman, I indeed love it when I am in bed with my man, I just think that such a degree of "energy" should intermix with how much in touch you are to a person. Let me explain this better: Being rude to a girl gives you power over her, because when rudeness comes from sexual overdrive, the rudeness in itself brings along the overdrive's very power. Thus, being rude with a girl is exactly just like fucking her. As a woman needs to be free to decide who, where, when and how should fuck her, exactly the same goes for being rude. I have been called in many of the most abusive ways while having sex, but is not that easy to push my man to treat me that way, he is different, his darkness comes more from his psychologically and physically violent side, channeled into speechless rough sex which gives me terrifying orgasms when he grab my neck from behind and mounts me like a fucking slut. But all is fine because he is him. I would like to be treated so bad anyway when I'm getting laid, but indeed if somebody I do not have a real emotional link with should call me "living cum-napkin" or "cum-draining device" maybe I could feel a bit hurt Offended no, never, I am not that way, but hurt, yes So, I have no problems with men saying rude things while dementedly horny: good manner are not about refraining from actions, are about being perceptive of fittingness 6 minutes ago, fannywatcher said: I think on here if you use the word "slut"or "slag" you should be banned.None of our wonderful ladies are anything of the sort. Depending on the circumstances, it could even be funny, but again, probably on a forum is not possible to build them 2 1 Link to post
