To give another visual example, look at the difference between these two photos. You cannot really see anything at all in the front view unless you crouch low. But the rear view is totally exposed!

I've never really messed it up. There has been some occasions where I've misjudged the slope I was squatting on so my shoe got caught in the puddle. The only really memorable thing was when I was a teenager and inexperienced with peeing outside. I squatted at an odd angle and peed on the back of my leg for a moment before readjusting.

I pee with my back to the wall as more of a security thing. Nobody can sneak up on me and I have a much better view of my surroundings. I have a nice 180 degree view of what is going on without having to crick my neck. And like Alfresco said, I'm much less exposed. If I pull down my clothes just enough to go and keep my legs together it's difficult to see anything. For the most part it doesn't really bother me that much. My main interests are wetting and outdoor peeing so colour doesn't make a huge difference. However, I also enjoy watching toilet peeing and I like that to be nice and yellow. It's fun watching the cloud spread across the water and slowly change the colour!
