When I was young, I remember my Mother having to stay in hospital for a long term illness, and the birth of my brother. During that time I stayed with my Grandparents and Father. My Grandparents bedroom was 'out of bounds', but once I saw my Grandmother carrying an antique porcelain chamber pot into the bathroom, it was obvious she was emptying it, as I heard the splash of water, and the flushing of the toilet. I think that the experience may have started a fetish for the 'piss-pot!'

Using a chamber pot obviously isn't difficult for a guy. I'm less clear about what women do - I presume the pose in this pic is just for the benefit of the camera. Do women hover over the pot? Sit on it? Or do they do something else?

I imagine that my Grandmother sat on the side of the bed with her legs spread, the pot had an handle, so she could raise it towards her, so as not to splash the bed or floor below.

There is a scene in the 1990 film Vincent & Theo, about Vincent Van Gogh, where the model he is drawing takes a break and pees into a chamber pot. When I was much younger, I used to visit my Grandma and she had an old terraced house with the only toilet out in the small back yard.   She had chamber pots in each of the bedrooms and it was accepted practice for everyone to use them from bed time until morning - usually including the morning pee rather than holding uncomfortably until you got dressed and ready to go outside.   The pots were shared in the bedroom - i.e. My mum and dad shared one, my sister and I shared one and my grandparents shared one.   In the morning, they would simply be carried downstairs and emptied in the outside toilet or the drain in the back yard.   When it was really poor weather, it was not unknown for people to go to their bedroom during the day to make use of "the pot" rather than braving the weather to go outside to the toilet.   Sometimes in those cases where the weather was particularly wet, the pots would just be tipped out of the back door onto the concrete yard - after all, the rain would soon wash it to the drain anyway.   There was no perceived stigma in any of this - it was just the norm and what people did.  Nobody tried to hide the pot when bringing it down to empty, it was just part of daily routine.

I sincerely think chamber pots can either be disgusting when they are a forced situation, or misteriously arousing

Sadly it's not a traditional chamber pot but I've recently started keeping a large plastic jug close to the bed as I've found I can take care of business so much easier when I wake in the night than if I went to the bathroom.  Although it has seen service in the past when I stayed in accommodation which wasn't en suite, I've decided that now is the time to bring it back into service.
