I have not read this entire thing, but I can say the peeing scenes in this book (mostly set in a French train station in Volume IV) are as graphic as anything you will find written today. Some scenes, like the woman who accidentally pisses onto the floor or the American girl who power pisses onto the back of the toilet seat, feel likey would fit right into a @Brutus fictional experience story on these forums even today. I get human sexuality doesn't necessarily change with the passage of time but it still shocks me that this book was written in the 1880s.
