Bacardi 10,134
I've been a member for going on four years know and I can attest that sometimes the forums go through quiet periods as members come and go. It will pick up again soon! 2 Link to post

gldenwetgoose 21,498
During lockdown I found that availability to browse and contributing had really benefitted. In large part down to the increased flexibility of working from home - an extra hour in the day of non-commuting time at least. Recently my wife has had a lot more time at home and also very recently I’ve found myself much busier at work with a short term peak of urgent work. Both should return to normal soon. All of that said - I really don’t think my contribution is that big a factor. I definitely don’t have the kind of ego to think that anyway. 2 Link to post

Is it me or does it seem like the forum has been quiet for the last couple of weeks? To be honest I myself have been much less active in recent years compared with earlier ones, but I am just one person. But what I have noticed is that even when I find the time to post stuff, quite often no one responds or else does not respond for ages, so little in the way of discussion or chat takes place. People will like pics or vids and might occasionally comment, asking who such and such a girl is or where to find the video of a particular screenshot. Beyond that, much in the way of genuine discussion seems much harder to come by than it used to be. Which tends to suggest to me that I am far from being the only one who comes here a lot less often. Am beginning to think it is only the pic and vid sections and of course the gallery that is keeping this place afloat. Am glad it is here for that but miss the discussions that used to take place. Maybe I should try starting one or two sometime but suspect anything I choose to raise as a discussion issue will get little response, and it is in any case hard to think of a pee-related subject that hasn't been discussed before or a general chat subject that might have any kind of widespread appeal. 1 Link to post
gldenwetgoose 21,498
I've been here probably just approaching four years now, so nothing like the same duration as yourself @steve25805 - and I think I've seen changes in that time. I do have a very slightly different take on it, and of course it's interesting to compare with your feelings. I definitely think the wider world has changed it's viewing, consumption and contribution focus and (IMHO) not for the better. I think on the whole there's been a movement away from appreciating high quality fine artistic pictures, with 'the norm' being a shaky blurry social media video clip. The younger consumers of today are hungry to be fed by the next outlet that trends - youtube, vimes, tiktoks.... and to be blunt, nobody seems interested in photos any more. I'm talking 'real world' there and making a huge generalisation. It is substantiated by the number of professional photographers who haven't moved and have been left with unviable businesses. In the world of porn, I absolutely adore well photographed and high quality images still - but I'm finding them harder and harder to find. It seems like professional studios aren't producing them, image sharing sites aren't hosting new content and consequently there are none to publish here. I don't know if that's your experience Steve? It feels to me when I look around the web that I'm just seeing the same old images, pictures that have been doing the rounds for decades ? And I do think that users viewing of pages here may match that consumer trend - I sort of feel that the areas of the site gaining the most 'active use' are Pee Videos, Men Pissing, Pee Talk & Real Experiences. By 'active use' I mean overall the amount of members spending more than a passing visit, leaving comments, contributions etc. In other words if peefans were a shopping street they'd be the places with queues out of the door and the staff in the other shops of Introductions, Fiction, Pee Pictures, Pee Websites would be standing around waiting for the odd sale. There is probably a very strong similarity with the written word - movement certainly from younger(?) members to lesser written communication, brief comments rather than nurturing conversations and discussion - which I in my mind associate with the media consumption culture I mention above. So - what's the answer - I don't have an answer, I only have a view based on my preferences for what I like to look at and look at. There are two social media principles which may help though: - First is 'if it's not on the first page it's not worth being there' or something along those lines. People duck in, browse and duck out again - unless what they see really grabs them and inspires them, then reactions and retention are unlikely. - Second is to tease out further engagement with open questions - just as this thread has done. A question has encouraged participation. And the popular discussion threads all seem to do that, As I said - just my thoughts... Anyone got any other views? 2 Link to post
Bacardi 10,134
@gldenwetgoose My thoughts are I just enjoy the chat box (when I can catch it) and the PMs more than posting as of recent, but that's also because it has been real quiet around here recently and, again, I've seen the forum go through this before so I am not so worried about it haha. I still look forward to my alone time on here just as much as I did a few months ago when there was more to be seen! 3 1 Link to post
Kupar 13,341
I don't have the length of experience on the site as the previous two illustrious members, but there does seem to be an ever-changing pattern of activity. Sometimes the stories (real and fiction) threads are busy, sometimes it's specific types of original content, sometimes specific types of pee porn videos, ad the public chatroom does have its 'golden ages' where for a few weeks or even months there's a regular busy pub-style chat of an evening or even during the day. I agree with what I believe @gldenwetgoose has said elsewhere that people's working patterns during the last couple of years have changed and this has had an impact on time, and time-of-day spent online. It's difficult to tell if there's a generational thing going on here - that might be the case, but there have been some very active young members who have contributed lots of words. It's not only the more mature members (fnurgh!). I always enjoy the community of the site now, just as much as I have done for the last 18 months or so of my membership, through the ups and downs of my enjoyment of various aspects of the kink. Long live PeeFans! 1 3 Link to post

It feels to me when I look around the web that I'm just seeing the same old images, pictures that have been doing the rounds for decades ? I am finding the same things with pics. The same old ones keep resurfacing with little in the way of high quality new pics. Most of my newer pic material are stills that a producer has taken from vids, and I myself am resorting more and more to screenshots.....though I have recently found a vast source of mostly outdoor peeing pics. I have about 700 waiting to go. But even these are mostly stills taken from sneakypee vids. No way am I going to be able to post them all at once, but will eventually get around to posting some this week as it is a week off for me. And when it comes to pics, there has been a big shift in focus - even on this forum - away from professional stuff to amateur material, which always seems to be the most popular. The same trend is becoming discernible in videos too. People seem to prefer an amateur pic or vid even if the video or picture quality is not top notch because they get off on the fact of it being real as in genuinely enjoyed by the performer. Professional stuff may have top notch picture quality, but everyone knows it is less real and just a manufactured scene, often just acted out for the camera by someone paid to do it. Although we suspend disbelief and go with the fantasy, deep down we know it is being done for money and probably not for pleasure. With most amateur stuff we know their pleasure is real most of the time and that they are getting off on it. A problem that even professional video producers are suffering from and always have is that they struggle to make money because their content keeps being shared on free sites. Big companies can maybe pursue DCMA complaints, but even amateurs posting vids on sites like clips4sale often give up after a while cos this keeps happening to their stuff too. Insofar as pics posted here on this forum goes, I have been noticing that many of the more prolific pic posters who are not relying on screenshots, often post older pics I have seen before, some of them seemingly ones I have previously posted myself. I am much less inclined to view some posters' pics than others due to the fact that they so rarely seem to post anything new. And I myself struggle to find new stuff in pic form. Hats off to @zorba3189, who seems to post amateur pics that I have never seen before. Almost every pic she posts is new to me, and I look forward to seeing them. Personally I very much still appreciate pics which is why I post so money. The moving imagery of a video is superior for getting off on in some respects, but the typical pee lasts for less than 30 seconds. So the scene is over before I want it to be and have to either scroll back to keep repeating it or find another vid, all of which is a bit distracting from one handed erotic endeavours. The beauty of a pic - especially if it is a screenshot I myself have made of what I regard as the most erotic moment - is that the image stays frozen there for you for as lomg as it takes for me to conclude my one handed erotic adventure, lol. That is quite possible sadly. Most professionally filmed pissing now seems to emanate from the Czech Republic. Were it not for them there would be very little left Link to post
