Just checked into the site 6:30am GMT  on Sat 2nd and yes - that's still the case on desktop, blank main chat window.  Corner window shows '0 chatting' but does have recent conversations.

@Admin - am I imagining something in conversation just the other day about the site running well at the moment....?  😉

The site appears to be having issues at around 00:45 (UK Time) each night. Possibly site maintenance or something?

I don't notice it straight away because if I am sat on the homepage using the chat I don't get any error messages, but I have noticed the chat won't update and I am sat waiting for a reply, thinking they are just busy or something. It's only when I then decide to browse the forum that the messages come through because the page has reloaded.

Sorry for being so terrible at explaining what I mean, it's 1am at the moment and I'm feeling preeeety tired! I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

I got the Cloudflare page earlier and things got very slow, but at around 00:45 BT drops my internet connection pretty regularly and I have to wait for the router to reconnect, quite irritating as the BT router takes ages.

I’ve been browsing on my phone the last couple of days and been affected. Like @Sophie I’ve noticed it with chat messages not responding, but actually the complete site failing to load. Progress bar in the browser just sitting and doing nothing.

Is it only in the midnight - 2am window (UK time)? Or has the same thing been happening other times too?

I've only noticed it around those times. I'll have to start making a note of the times

Pretty sure this would be related to the site backup which I believe happens in that time slot. I'll look into changing this though, as it's actually not a very practical time since I imagine a lot of people browse the site around then. Later in the night would probably be better.

I've made exactly the same observations as @Sophie. Every night around 1:42 am German time (0:42 UK time) the site is off for a few minutes, as if the server did a reboot. It occurs very regularly every night and has always done ever since I joined peefans.

You may be aware already - the whole site had an 'error 500 / 504' sort of downtime for about 20 minutes this morning 7:45AM UK.   Seems to be back again now and fine 🤞

Did you change the time? The site has just gone down again at 00:45 like usual.

Just at the moment (08 March 2023 22:00GMT) the site seems to be having a few slow loading and error 500 problems - not being able to load the selected page.

In general a refresh seems to work.

@Admin - when you see this, a couple of times (3-4 so far) over the last couple of days, the site has logged me out unexpectedly.

Either I've been browsing and on loading a page have spotted the adverts, or a couple of times I've been writing a post or comment, got to the point of 'submit' and got the message 'you can post this and then register'.  In all cases it's seemed that I've been logged out and the simple action of logging in has let me carry on as normal.

It's not a big inconvenience, but not something I've seen before.

For info @Admin - it seems like the homepage livechat window and dedicate livechat page are playing up a bit.

Google Chrome on laptop and also Safari on mobile, window is showing blank and also participant list blank too.

However the bottom corner Livechat pop up seems ok, showing with no issues (and another member commenting on the same).
