No more Tumblr

Recommended Posts

Wow, a surprising choice from Tumblr. A very sincere thank you for telling your followers about this site, and of course we would all love it if you were able to spend more time here yourself Autumn.

Is there any way PeeFans can better accommodate you, your followers and the blog? We could potentially even look into setting up a similar blog for you hosted here on PeeFans, although I'm not sure if that would be of interest to you since there'd be nothing to reblog (it would all have to be uploaded content)? I'm just trying to think of the best way to help - we'll certainly do whatever we can.

I think it was bound to happen.  I can recall when Tumblr was mostly mainstream content.  Oh well.  Their loss is maybe Pee Fans' gain.  We'll see.  At any rate, Pee Fans rocks!  I think Tumblrs will love it here.

Wait, is Tumblrs even a word?  LOL!  🙂

Losing the adult content Tumblr sucks! It was so easy to stumble into new content. Autumn's blog is excellent, as was sokinky-sowet and releaseit-inpublic (and juegoshumedos between the squirting-specific posts). I hope traffic here picks up!

Thanks, Lulu. We really enjoyed it over these past 5-6 years. I'm not sure there will ever be another site w/app like Tumblr again, at least not one Apple allows on its devices. This fetish is not as widely accepted here in the US as it is in other parts of the world it seems, so it was great being able to find (and be found) by others like us who live close by (we live in Colorado).

Is there anything either of you can pinpoint specifically about what made Tumblr so great for this kind of content? I'm just trying to think how we can introduce something vaguely similar here.

Absolutely. It was the reblog feature for us. That's how we found most of the blogs we followed. We'd see a post of theirs we liked reblogged by someone we follow, go to their blog, see if it's something we enjoy, and then follow them. I'm sure that's how most people found us, too.

I heard this too. So sad to see it confirmed, but thanks for the heads up, @AutumnPeach.

The thing is that in terms of traffic and income streams, porn is often the mainstay of such sites, as more mainstream users drift off elsewhere.

Experience Project went down the same road of banning porn. It wasn't long before this proved to be their death knell.

I suspect tumblr might be biting the hand that feeds it. Nevertheless, hopefully their loss will be our gain.

I'm being a little sentimental, to be honest. The casual way Tumblr let you stumble through people's specific porn tastes is how I became introduced to the content. And like @AutumnPeach said, the ease of finding other users through their reblogs or likes made it effortless to find more and varied content. And of course, having all the gifs and videos laid out in a neverending scroll is always more convenient than having to click into particular videos or chats (a con of sites like Pornhub, but something I can imagine is very time-expensive to code up.) Maybe you could engineer something that would pull a random gif or picture with every refresh on the main page?

I recall two other social media sites that banned adult content.  They were "Excite communities" and "Yahoo Groups".  For those who have never heard of them,  that's why.

Cue tumblr going bust in 3, 2, 1 .......

Well, it finally happened. Tumblr is shutting down all adult content. I just put out a message to our almost 82,000 followers to come check out Peefans, so if there's a big influx of new members, I'm guessing that's why. I may be spending more time on here than before now!

For those who would like another site with similar ways to discover users by looking at what they like and who they follow,  I can recommend imagefap.com

It's free to join.

Members post galleries of images, and list their favorite galleries from other members.  Other members can look at the favorites and follow through to the (different) member who posted them,  discovering all of that member's other galleries.

A news feed tells you what the members you follow have posted recently,  and you can rate and comment on any image you find.

You can also have a blog,  although only a small proportion of members use this feature.  (There are well over a million members world wide.)

Best of all,  the site is hosted in Europe,  so it is out of reach of the American Taliban and the British Anti-sex League.

Experience Project is how my husband and I got into the swinging lifestyle (about 9 years ago!). That site was great for finding like-minded people. We had a feeling it would go bye-bye once they banned all porn like it did. I think Tumblr is headed for the same demise, too.

That's what they deserve

Porn is a cultural conquest

It has a deep spiritual function and everything that denies porn must crumble, because porn is the enthusiasm of life, and without life there is only death

That site is one of my sources for great porn pics.

You know what's funny though. They didn't get all the adult content. They were criticised for failing to remove kiddy Porn, and now they think they can get rid of it all.

Haha good point.

There were a lot of amusing posts when it first happened of all the things their adult filter had marked as porn that were clearly completely innocent. Likewise a lot of blatant porn that was missed. Impossible to catch it all of course, even now I imagine there are a lot of mistakes.

It definitely seemed an overreaction to a very specific issue though.

As much as I'd have liked to make an adult tumblr of some kind off the back of this, especially a pee version of course, I think a couple of people tried and it just didn't take off. I think our best bet here is just encouraging people to create their own threads here where they can share whatever pictures/videos/stories/comments they like in the same way they did with their blogs.
