F.W 5,734
What things that everyone seems to rave about, dou you just find are maybe,ok,not bad, average or just downright crap?TV shows, movies, games, the whole world of media seems these days to be telling us what we will like. Ill begin with "Game of Thrones". Having become aware of the end of the series,i decided to dip a toe in and bought series 1,start at the beginning obviously....I found it "ok",nothing to get overexcited about. In fact, and this might sound a bit dumb on this site,i found too soft porn,if you get my meaning. As if having sex scenes in it,was a way of attracting viewers. It was like they had put the "Elder Scrolls" games, like Skyrim to film is all.Evil kings and dragons etc.Weird looking warriors with eye make up etc.And of course,to me,pointless shagging scenes, that could have being hinted at.Leaving more time for action. No way am i saying it was crap, not at all, but just over rated. 2 1 Link to post
Peefreak99 3,722
Series overall is overated " OMG YOU HAVE TO WATCH BLABLABLA" "i just started watching.... F.W 5,734
The TV series "Cheers". This is currently re-running on UK Ch4 in the mornings. When it was on in the 80s and 90s,it was lauded as the funniest ever show.I never saw it then,so i dont know.Having watched it lately,i disagree. It is amusing,if you enjoy watching i think over 200 episodes of the following basically. 1)Bar owner Sam,ex sports hero, tries to have sex with every woman he meets. 2)He ends up attempting with his female co-workers,apart from a "poison dwarf" type waitress who is constantly making wisecracks. 3)A few other barflys are around to get involved in crazy sub plots. Thats basically a premise of each of the 200+ episodes.Very few new characters were introduced.Frasier, who generated a successful spin off, came in about half way,as did Woody Harrelson, and Kirsty Alley. Its no so terrible, but 200 odd episodes of the same thing is a bit overrating. 2 1 Link to post
Popular Post chubbybirb999 1,560
Love Island is a HUGE thing over here. Bloody reality tv, soul-sucking, brain damaging nonsense. I honestly don't see the appeal of watching the same cookie-cutter people with only the vaguest hint of personality couple off with other idiots. Yawn. And yet people treat it like the most important news on the planet when so-and-so goes off with whatshisname and, just... ugh. I hate it. 1 3 1 Link to post
Rewdna 782
Basically ALL the Lord of the Rings/'Hobbit series of films. Yaaaaaawn. They go on for hours and have ridiculous titles. And before anyone says it,yes I know they're based on the books. Same goes for the Harry Potter films,I've only ever seen the first one. That was enough. But if you want to really talk about overrated things, then it has to be British TV presenters Ant and Dec.If you don't know who they are, then basically they get paid far too much to stand in the right order and present crap TV.Yet people think they are talented and funny.Every year without fail they receive awards for doing bugger all. Think that's enough for now.....carry on.👍 1 Link to post

Unfortunately, reality shows now dominate prime time tv in Australia. Link to post

Might’ve made sense in the 80s before DVDs were everywhere. Not binge watchable! Link to post
