I sit whenever possible and in my experience most of the toilets actually seem to be clean. Maybe it's because I use them during the day time instead of at night. If the seat is clean I'll sit and have a wee, and if there are a few drops I'll just wipe them away with some toilet paper and sit. If the toilet is dirty or soaked I'll try to find a different one but failing that I'll hover as low as possible while still being above the seat. I usually don't spend long in public toilets, a couple of minutes at most but there are occasions where I'll stay and listen.

That has caught me out before. I never switch on the bathroom light because the switch is noisy and the streetlights outside provide enough light to pee. Husband left the seat up once and I didn't bother checking. Nearly fell in!

I finished work really early today (was only in for a couple of hours) so when I got home I was a little frustrated. I entirely agree with you, 100%. My only complaint is from what I've seen in videos, models who do peeing are terrible actors. I've lost count the amount of fake desperation scenes I've skipped. So while I enjoy a plot, especially in none pee videos (most of my favourites have a story of some sort), I don't think I'd be able to get over the awful acting.
