JDG 870
Reading this thread I never realised that there are countries where circumcision is such a big thing! Here (and as far as I know in the majority of Europe) it only happens if there is a medical reasons for it and I think that is how it should be. Personally I am also cut, for medical reasons in my mid 20s. My foreskin was just way too tight and it hurt to have sex. I can only say I'm very happy with the cut. My orgasms are as intense as ever and while it does become a little bit more insensitive you get used to it very quickly. For me there is no difference except I can have sex without pain now. CoastalBoy 99
Very against routine infant circumcision but also a cut in my mid 20s for medical reasons and a big fan of going through that for myself. 1 Link to post
awkwood 41
Genital mutilation on an non-consenting infant for basically cosmetic reasons without medical necessity is just plain barbaric. If, as an adult, someone wants to modify their own body, that's an entirely different story. But let them decide when they are a consenting adult. I'm uncircumcised and completely happy that I'm intact. When I was a young boy and my mom took me to the pediatrician for my annual physical examination, the part of the exam I hated the most was when the doctor forcibly retracted my foreskin. My foreskin was very tight and there was a certain degree of discomfort when the doctor did it. As I got just a little bit older, I tended to play with my little penis when my parents weren't around or under the covers at night. Retracting my foreskin little by little slowly to the point just before it became uncomfortable was very pleasurable. In the beginning I could just barely see my glans when I did it. Over time I discovered that by doing this, next time I was able to retract it a little further each time without discomfort. Not only wasn't there any discomfort, but it felt damn good when I did it. I just took it step by step and stopped short of discomfort. Eventually, I was able to fully retract my foreskin all the way until the entire glans was exposed. The act of retracting my foreskin provided me with so much pleasure, it was unbelievable. Doing this at an early age also loosened up the foreskin so it would easily retract later in life. Now I can retract it and it will stay retracted and will only return forward when going flaccid. To this day, as an older adult, I still love to retract my foreskin. And you know what is even more pleasurable than me retracting my foreskin? It's when my partner does it for me. I love having my foreskin retracted by someone else. This is an enjoyable pleasure that a circumcised man never enjoys! Why should this pleasure be forcibly removed from an infant before he gets the chance to feel the great sensation from it? If someone says that a circumcised penis is more attractive, I would not necessarily disagree, But all I have to do is retract the foreskin and voila, my very purple, moist, and sensitive glans is fully on display just like my cut brethren. I have a "convertible". Of course, being uncircumcised, I must retract my foreskin every day in the shower and scrub everything with soap and water to keep things hygienic. Not doing so can increase the possibility of foul odors. It's just good hygiene to do so. 3 Link to post
awkwood 41
Oh, I forgot to mention in my earlier posting that masturbation is so much easier with an intact foreskin. There's never any need for lotion or lubrication when masturbating. And I also forgot to remind that the foreskin has hundreds of thousands of nerve endings that are permanently removed when circumcision is performed. Foreskin restoration can increase the size of the foreskin to almost original length but the original nerve endings are still gone forever. Please don't circumcise your young child just to make them 'look' like daddy. Someday when he grows up he'll appreciate that you didn't do it to him, even if he doesn't actually say it. I never discussed it with my parents, despite my appreciation. It's not an easy topic to bring up at the dinner table. As bad as routine male circumcision is concerned, I'm not even going to delve into female genital mutilation. That's an even more barbaric act that must end in a civilized society. In Western culture it's pretty rare, but still being done in isolated cases purportedly for religious reasons. It must stop! 2 Link to post
gryffindork 18
I'm an intact guy at 30 years old. Wanna ask fellow uncut gents if you pull your foreskin back to pee or not? I find that since my teens if I don't, I have no control of my aim. Anyone else the same? [Staff Note: @gryffindork - your post has been merged into this thread. CON2H4 650
As much as I hate male infant circumcision, I think there are a few problems comparing it to what is done to women, which is often a lot worse, especially given that it can impede childbirth making it more dangerous. It's also worth noting that fgm does often involve the removal of the entire clitoris, not just the clitoral foreskin, though even if it did only remove the skin, that's still worse because of the risk of complications, including to future childbirth. Though that being said, I fear our legitimisation of male circumcision has created some refuge for fgm apologists. Link to post
gryffindork 18
Reading a lot of the comments here and seeing the views, thought I'd share this story https://honey.nine.com.au/latest/reality-adult-circumcision/4944bbcc-d323-4594-a769-ed5e1f0fac6b For those not in Australia, he's an ex-broadaster/influencer, basically recounting his experience with needing a medically required circumcision in his 20's and disliking it so much to the point where he's encouraging parents to circumcise their sons when they're born to save them the issue. Not sure if he's religious - the show he was a part of was a mainstream commercial FM station in Sydney (not christian) missed my other post? I'm intact and 30, never studied human biology but feel like foreskin may be a little like an appendix... I hate how it gets in the way when you pee For the record, I have no kids and am far away from having any (never had a partner), I find FGM abhorrent and am opposed to the idea of any circumcision for religious reasons. Watchyoupee 216
My parents said I was cut but I still have some foreskin. Maybe they didn’t cut enough? How much is normal for a cut male? Link to post
