does anyone know how policewomen pee while on duty?I heard that policewomen have more issues than policemen when it came to urination while on duty. some European countries have stand urinals on the street for men who work outdoor, including policemen. all they need to do is unzip their pants to pee while stand up without take off their pants, sitting down and dealing with their gun belt,but police women cannot use them. I saw that in some eastern Asian countries, including japan and Hong Kong, police women wear skirt rather than pants as uniform during summer, and gun are less likely carried by policewomen in Asia , compare to western countries, therefore, gun belt may not be a issue for policewomen in Asia. also, western sitting toilets are more common in west, and it maybe too hard for policewomen to find clean toilet, unlike Asia, that there are more squat toilets.

how do police women find clean toilets to sit down to pee while on duty in western countries?how do they deal with their gun and gun belts?will they drop their gun if they hover to pee? will they accidentally fire their gun while urinating? do they load their guns before go inside the ladies room? if their guns are unloaded, will they get ambush attacked in ladies room? will they just squat to pee outdoor, if they cannot find clean bathroom? will they get ambush attacked if they squat to pee outdoor?

They use public toilets, probably. Just like any other profession. Of course they won't drop their gun or fire it accidentally. Why would they load or unload their gun before going into a bathroom?

I'll comment, because men have to sit on Western toilets while on duty too for a #2.  Yes, the duty belt is somewhat of a problem.  There is all kinds of equipment attached.  The "nightstick"/baton is by far the worst due to the length.  The pistol is loaded and secured in the holster at all times (it is actually latched in) and can't go off in a proper holster.   As @Sophie suggests, this is not that much of a problem.

You are probably largely right, though for all of us the absence of public toilets can be a problem. There are not many public toilets around and most of those that are are tend to be closed from early in the evening until the following day. And all day Sundays and bank holidays for most of them .Which probably explains why so many drunk men and women end up being seen pissing against walls, behind bushes, or between parked cars. The combination of alcohol-induced full bladders, alcohol-induced reduced inhibitions, and no open public facilities tends to guarantee the inevitability of this. I mean, what else do the powers that be think is going to happen when they do not supply easily available open toilets where lots of drinking is being done?

Of course, policewomen or policemen are highly unlikely themselves to be drunk when on duty. They'd soon be out of the force if they were. But I guess when the few available public toilets are closed, many larger stores have public loos available and if these are closed there are always the facilities in bars and nightclubs At a stretch they could use these. It is the early hours of the morning where almost every venue can be closed when this could be a problem. But police tend not to be on foot then but in cars so I suppose in an emergency they'd just have to drive to the nearest police station to use the loos there.

This is in the cities of course. In more rural areas nothing is likely to be open anywhere after a certain time and the nearest police station could be many miles away. In circumstances such as these policemen and women might occasionally be forced to pee outdoors somewhere but they are highly likely to do so in a place or location where they are highly unlikely to be seen. In a field for example. And they probably reduce their fluid intake at such times anyway to minimise the chances of being caught short. So we are never likely to see uniformed police officers peeing in public. In all my life I have never even seen a male officer doing so, let alone a female one.

It is quite common to see UK police in McDonalds, KFC etc. They can get food while on duty, also probably take a wee etc. I went to The Royal International Air Tattoo some years ago, it was being held at RAF Cottesmore instead of the more usual RAF Fairford. Big traffic cues on country roads to the show. There were a few porta loos set up along the route in. I discovered these were for the police marshalling in the public! There were quite a few cars stopping with passengers getting out to wee behind hedges and in woods etc. There were some (mainly ladies) trying to get in the loos, the police had them locked and marked for police use....nice!
