A Question for those with a Pussy

Recommended Posts

Hi all. As a guy, I often find myself having a look at my self down below. Almost sort of admiring what I have down there. Like after a shower just sitting on the bed before getting dressed, playing on my phone or whatever and just having a good look now and then. 😂 (I know, it might sound odd).

I'm wondering if any of you with a girly area do the same? Just looking down the front or with a mirror etc. 🤔

Also, what do you call that part? There doesn't seem to be a nice sounding name for a pussy or a penis in my opinion! 😂

I dont really like to look because I don't really have a way to look! Have never been one to take pictures of myself either lol. When learning how to use tampons and my menstrual cup I have used a mirror to figure stuff out, and I think I look pretty average. Pretty plain, IMO.

I hate the word pussy! I would rather say *in my best Irish accent* cunt!

Completely respect you not taking pictures, and I’m trusting that no one tries to persuade you otherwise.

Quick observation though that one ladies ‘average’ and ‘plain’ is most likely bending the needle off the top of the scale of perfection for many of us.  A bit like saying Michelangelo was an ‘ok’ artist or Einstein was fairly smart.

Okay, that's fair. It's just I have seem some extravagant and beautiful labia out there and when I look at mine it's like....eh. it's okay lol.

There's a really interesting phenomenon I noticed when photographing portraits at balls and functions (not that I photographed many labia on those events).   But you would get a lady or a guy dressed beautifully, manicured / barbered tidily, hair put up perfectly - and they've looked at themselves in the mirror countless times when dressing and heading out for the event.  But show them a two dimensional photograph and they will pick out the tiniest imperfection you can find...  My nose looks too big or whatever.

So my point is that the human brain is great at telling us the picture we're seeing doesn't look as good as we want it to be, or not as good as we imagine others would look in exactly the same picture.

Anyway enough psychology - by extravagant labia, do you mean the protruding variety.  Must admit speaking solely personally, small and neat to average is my complete favourite.

It does surprise many males to learn that females can't naturally see their own genitalia. It would be similar to you trying to see your perenium, or the underside of your balls.

I have certainly looked down there out of curioisity, using a mirror. I don't do it particularly often, though. I know what it looks like now!

I don't like the word pussy. It seems so porn-soaked and disrespectful. I'm not into dirty words for that part of my body, it isn't an object of shame! When I do talk about it, my words are ususally "vulva" - anatomically correct, if a bit clinical - or the poetic "lady garden." Gardens have beautiful, scented flowers in them and trees full of ripe fruit. A person sits in the shade with an iced drink and enjoys the beauty of a garden. A natural, beautful, friendly ecosystem. My vulva is a garden.

You bring up an interesting point regarding slang terms. I agree with you on the word pussy. It does sound very porn-ish. But among my friends and I, it seems to be the best worst option other than vag. In the States, Dick is the most frequent term in casual conversation. But if you use dick and vulva in the same sentence it just sounds wrong. One is clinical while the other is slang. The way Fanny is used in the UK, feels like the female counterpart of dick. We don't really have a fanny equivalent in American English. And inconveniently enough, fanny is a cute word for bum over here. My friend got some British porn magazines once, and all the mentions of dripping wet fannies made him uncomfortable.
