Are any members expecting to be in Thailand in February or March?

I will be in Pattaya, Chon Buri province for a month starting near the end of February.  If any other members expect to be there,  perhaps we could meet up for drinks, coffee, or a visit to the gogo clubs.

If anyone feels like going in search of peeing fun,  I can contribute one or two ideas when we meet on the ground.

This is the end of the cool season in Thailand, temperatures are typically about 32C during the day.  Tourist crowds will be starting to thin out,  but there will still be thousands of unattached Thai ladies in town looking for fun.

A postscript for couples members,  many venues  there are very "couples friendly",  and there are definitely places (indoors) where you can indulge an exhibitionist streak if you have one.   If the lady is bi,  there are many pleasant experiences to be had.  Just be aware,  the entire city is essentially (but unofficially) a sex resort.  If you want regular tourism or you're easily shocked,  best go elsewhere.

No, Thai people are very prim and proper in public.  Even holding hands is frowned upon by some.  The fun stuff only happens behind closed doors.

Or on Walking Street late at night. Pattaya is a lot more, ah, liberal than other areas of Thailand.

Interesting.  I've seen plenty of fun inside the Walking Street gogo clubs,  but never anything outdoors on Walking Street itself.  What did you see?

I was in Pattaya last August, and there’s a reason it’s frowned upon to take photographs on Walking Street— being seen there could ruin the lives of the girls who work there, many of whom are earning money to sustain more conservative parents. 

Of course, there are plenty of scantily clad girls standing outside to try and lure foreigners into the bars. They’ll grab the arms (and more) of older men to get them to come along. I especially remember a Russian pole-dancing in a transparent box, with people in the street below watching the show. It’s just sex everywhere.

As a young woman myself, I wasn’t happy to see the sexual exploitation that goes on there. A former prostitute later explained to me the awful living conditions and lack of choice that these girls face. 

Nothing pee-related I’m afraid!

Yes of course.  The parents are generally well aware of what their daughters are doing,  but would lose face if they had to admit this publicly.

Actually,  it just isn't.  Sex or nudity outdoors on Walking Street would almost certainly get the person arrested and charged.  Sex may be implied or hinted at,  but that is all.  Wearing a bikini is not sex.  Inviting a tourist into a bar is not sex.

I am not convinced at all about the "lack of choice" thing.  The vast majority of young women in Thailand choose not to become sex workers.  Those who do make that choice often choose to leave after only a year or two.  Some use the money to start a business,  some marry or form long term relationships,  others use their earnings to finance a university education.

A woman with no education may choose to work in an ordinary shop or factory for a basic wage of perhaps $12,000 a year.  Many Thai people live successfully on this amount of money.  The Thai economy is booming,  and living standards are rapidly approaching those of Western Europe. 

A woman also has the choice to become a sex worker and perhaps earn $50,000 per year.  This would make her wealthy by Thai standards.  It doesn't appeal to the majority of women,  but for those who enjoy it, it's a great option.

I have seen these happy,  cheerful young women enjoying life,  coming and going as they please,  riding their motorbikes, partying and having fun.   They are nothing like the exploited slaves that you claim them to be.

Nine out of every ten people in any kind of employment hate their jobs,  and only work to earn money to live.  You will,  I am sure,  always be able to find a sex worker somewhere who hates her job too,  just as you can find a computer programmer earning the same amount who hates her own job.  It doesn't prove a thing.

Yes,  a lot.   Thai culture is much less hostile to them than than our western culture is.

It is concerning yes. I think all our efforts are merely slowing down the spread. Like a kid trying to build a sand circle to keep out the encroaching tide on a beach, inevitably the incoming tide will prevail. As I think it will do with Corona virus. It is going to be a global pandemic I fear, though I hope I am proved wrong. Chances are we are all going to have to accept the likelihood of catching it at some point when it really lets loose, and just hope we are amongst the large majority who recover. 

Would love to be fed a dish of humble pie as I am proved wrong. It is not often I welcome being proved wrong but I would definitely welcome being proved wrong on this. I would eat my humble pie with pleasure and enthusiasm.

Thailand seems to be managing it well.

Their citizens who returned from China have been quarantined at a naval hospital for 14 days,  and have recently gone home after tests showed they did not have the virus.  One person is still being treated at the hospital.

There have been no cases reported in the town where I am going.

Fatality rates seem to be pretty low.  Estimates range from 0.5% to 4%.  I suspect the low end of the range is more likely,  as many people get such mild symptoms from the virus that they may not know they have it, so would not be counted in the statistics.

Ive been to Thailand a few times now, I feel I can clarify a few points raised. 

Yes stuff in public (except in bars) is very bad, if you step on a coin with the Kings head can land you in jail. Open display of nudes of your phone and pissing in public will also land you in jail or charged a fine on the spot. 

In a country where people can do 12 hour shifts and earn £6.. Working as a sex worker if very profitable, all the girls I met have higher end apartments and clothes and phones etc.. One had a pet hedgehog

It's about £60 to 80 for a overnight of debauchery. That includes basically anything you want. Some dont like anal but they all happily piss on you, most will have piss on them in the shower. 

Beer is cheap, food is cheaper

Only go to pattaya if you want sex. 

(all of Thailand is like pattaya if you know where to look) 

The best girls are not sex workers but dating is easy via app. 

Search "lost in asia" if you want to see some related porn. 

I never done the bar girl thing, I met a girl online before hand and chatted with her for 6 months, she worked at a market in a village about 2hrs drive north of Bangkok, met her at the airport with my mate and we all went to pattaya together. We used to video chat daily and she showed her Peeing whilst I satisfied myself lol.
