F.W 5,734
Can we have an icon for those times when theres a topic or posting that you disapprove of? A simple thumbs down would do.The current range is somewhat restrictive, you can only basically "approve" in about 6 different ways. I think its necessary to be able to say to another person, that you dont like what they say.Id be ok with that if ever i put something that was offensive, stupid,or inappropriate. 1 Link to post

There is a 'report post' option available.Otherwise I'm sure if you speak to a moderator or admin in a private message, they will be able to help you. They're called moderators for a reason. 2 Link to post

Thats too much work.I saw something this morning that i thought wasnt really what we are about and wanted to just say "nah" somehow.Maybe if enough people do that the moderators can take notice. Popular Post Admin 14,788
This is a flat out no I'm afraid. Why would we want to foster a community of negativity like that? We want to encourage people to post and share more, not shame/criticise them because we personally disagree with something or it isn't content that matches our own tastes. Now, if it's something that breaks the site rules then that's different, but Rewdna has already given the correct answer on what to do. It takes literally 5 seconds to click the 'report post' button in the corner of every post - how is that too much work? It is one extra mouse click than pressing a dislike button. And finally, the idea that a dislike button would help moderators take notice again makes no sense. It's unlikely we'd notice a post you'd pressed dislike on, but we 100% will all see if you press the report button. There is no negative consequence of reporting something; the only two outcomes are we'll either agree and deal with it, or disagree and things will stay as they are. So if there is a post you dislike there are really two options: 1) If you dislike it because it's just not your cup of tea - you can just ignore it. Not every post here is going to appeal to every single person, and not every post needs a reaction, 2) If you dislike it because you feel it might be going against the site rules/guidelines, please just report it and I assure you it will be dealt with. I realise this isn't the answer you want, but there is already a system in place to deal with problematic posts, and it's honestly quick and easy to use. 2 8 1 Link to post
Popular Post steve25805 126,015
Back in the day when we had negative icons like "dislike", some people - you @F.W were often the worst offender - went around using them to be negatively judgemental towards anything not to their taste. What purpose does that serve in terms of making this site a friendly and welcoming place to all? You tend to behave as if your supposed right to be the arbiter of what is good and bad is more important to you than the good of the forum. Negative icons serve no useful purpose whatsoever. I have also found in the past that trolls can use them against every single post posted by someone they are trolling. It has happened. If you like something, "like" it. If you don't, just ignore it. Unless you think it breaks site rules in which case report it. @Admin is absolutely right on this one and I support him totally. We don't need negativity here of any kind. 2 3 Link to post
Popular Post gldenwetgoose 21,486
Agreed Admin and others - this site is awesome for being so positive. Sure there’s aspects of the fetish that don’t do as much for me as other aspects do, but doesn’t mean I should put anyone else down with a dislike. if something is over the mark, like this week there have been a couple of newcomers being a bit over excited, but it’s easy enough to post a friendly explanation of the right etiquette, to report if necessary - or maybe just browse off to a different page. 1 4 Link to post
F.W 5,734
I would be totally ok with people "disliking" any of my posts,if they thought it merited it.I never purport to be omnipotent, that MY musings are all knowing, all sweetness. Its completely normal among people to have disagreements occasionally isnt it?All im saying is we should have a way for you to express an opinion, thats not basically 1 0f 6 ways to simply "like" something, whilst being unable to express displeasure.Thats all, just normal discussion really,do YOU 100% agree with EVERYTHING your friends, colleagues or family say or do?But ok thats all i meant. And yes,ill never apologise for having opinions. End of.Cheers! Link to post

And being negative about each other's posts is against forum rules, which are more important here than anyone's non-existent right to post a negative opinion. 1 1 Link to post

Sweets 4,517
This is suppose to be a non judgement group to come here and share our similar fetish. I think this site is wonder and enjoy being here. There are a group of people that have the same interest in our fetish as I do. There are something’s that does not interest me and I stay away from those posts. To be honest If I posted something and I got some one giving me a dislike all the time It would hurt my feeling. Everyone has a right to their opinion. But u won’t have the right to hurt someone’s feeling. Again if you don’t like something scroll on. There is a way of expressing your opinion with hurting ones feelings. 2 Link to post
Sweets 4,517
And for the record I reported a post that was against the rules. One click didn’t even have to talk to a moderator or admin. Post was removed. If u don’t report it. Admin and moderators may not check it. There is so much being posted they couldn’t possibly keep up with every post. 1 1 Link to post
lovestoseepee 297
I 100% agree with everything that has been said here having a dislike icon can fostor an air of negatvity and I get enough of that at work so don't want to come here for it as well. This place is meant to be welcoming and encouraging by having this icon it could have the opposite effect. As the saying goes if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all I appreciate this might be a bit simplistic. But we want this place to be welcoming and a place pepole want to come to. Also if it's too much work to report a post by clicking a button and typing a few words then not sure how a dislike icon would fix this, I am personally not sure it would.
