Amazing… tell us something about them!!!

Honestly i don't know much about them. But the first one is a artillery truck very usefull to fight armored veichles and large groups of infantry.  And the tank is very good for infantry support and cover for soldiers. The 3rd is just a truck used for soldier transports and to transport stuff. ( these should always be armored) otherwise a rpg is the only thing it takes to cause huuuuge looses.

I think the tank is a Japanese type. Not sure of the model.

The top one is a kind of rocket launcher, the Red Army in WW2 used the Katyusha which was the inspiration for such things since, like the german Nebelwerfer etc.

This is the World War 2 era Soviet T34 tank, which came as something of a shock to the Germans when they first encountered it as it was superior to most of their own tanks....

Trucks are nowadays not really used for transporting troops around the battlefield.Even a heavy machine gun would stop the vehicle and kill its occupants.

Ever since WW2,troops have moved around in half tracks and modern IFVs(infantry fighting vehicle),that are like mini tanks and can carry a squad of troops, often with its own large calibre gun,and anti tank rockets etc.

Below from WW2,is the US M3 Half track, and the German Sdkfz 251,which in this photo, was actually captured by Polish insurgents from the 5th SS Pz Div "Wiking" during the 1944 Warsaw uprising.

Then the USA M113 used in Vietnam, and the modern replacement the M2 Bradley, used in the Gulf Wars etc.

This the 85mm armed later version from 1944,designed to take on the later "superior" panzers, like the Panther or Tiger.Up to 1943 it was armed with an adequate 76mm.On the Eastern Front,it was used in overwhelming numbers, over 50,000 being produced its thought.Twice as many as Germany produced to fight on ALL fronts. The Germans knocked these out,and tomorrow another 2 would be taking its place. It was also very much more reliable and manouverable than the much heavier and quite weakly engined panzers.

@F.W yes air is problaby one of the most important things tho. Take down the enemys air defence systems and planes and your air force can take out all enemy infantry and armored without any bigger trouble. But of course everything is important

Causing as much chaos, stress and fear as possible is good soldiers are humans too and make them feel like it's hopeless .that will lover their moral. Also have a standing offer that enemy deserters wont be punished.

Tanks are a combination of mobiilty, firepower and protection.

Getting these in the right balance is the key.Too much armour, too heavy, and it would be very sluggish and fuel hungry. But too little armour and it would struggle to survive a direct hit from a reasonable size shell.

A case is the German Pz V "Panther".Originally designed as about a 40 ton vehicle,it ended up at about 45 tons. The problem was that the engine, the Maybach HL P 230,had already been built to propel a 40 ton tank. Thus when it went into action at the battle of Kursk in July 43,it was untried and suffered many breakdowns, often bursting into flames.Being about 5 tons overweight.Hitler postponed the attack just so these new "wunderwaffe" could be in use,but it was a fierce battle, and the new tanks, the Panthers,Tigers, and 70 ton "Ferdinand" tank destroyers failures against the overwhelming numbers of Soviet T-34s,and lines in depth of anti-tank units.

However, already working on even bigger tanks, the Tiger 1,at about 60 tons, and the later Tiger 2,at about 70 tons, were fitted with the same HL P 230 engine designed for a 40 ton tank! This was the German weakness.Having to design, build and produce in sufficient numbers, enough tanks to combat the thousands of T-34s and M4 Shermans, they were up against.

The huge underpowered Tigers were excellent at basically hiding and picking off other tanks from distance, using their gas guzzling ponderous mobile pill boxes to move a few miles, but in the fast moving mobile battles, they were disadvantaged.Allied tanks often using speed to get around the rear, where the armour is thinnest and putting a shot through it.

These Mk V Panthers are the first production,on their way to the Kursk attack.

This arguably could be considered the best armoured vehicle of WW2.Not strictly a tank,a Tank Destroyer.

In US Army doctrine, these were used in independent battalions, rather than as part of a division.

This is the "Hellcat",the M-18.Weighing only about 18 tons,with a high velocity 76mm gun.It had a road speed of over 40 MPH.

Brought into service only towards the end of WW2,yet it is credited with the highest kills to loss ratio of any fighting vehicle.Capable of taking on any heavy panzer, simply by its speed, able to shoot and scoot,at speeds which the slow moving heavy panzers could hardly defend against.

This illustrates the ease which the USA could design, develop, and produce new tanks within a year of realising the need.Even their well known M4 Sherman, was constantly upgraded in its production, making it a more effective, not equal, but with a chance against the heavier panzers. The Germans, due to bombing, lack of resources, could only just about produce enough tanks to only replace the ones they lost weeks ago.I think in September 1944,was when the Wehrmachts "armour deficit",was largest,in terms of how many tanks,in theory they SHOULD have had, about 120 per Panzer Division, against the numbers AGAINST them on 2 fronts, was about 1500.1500 tanks fighting on 2 fronts against the western allies, and Red Army, each with thousands of tanks.....In tank warfare, cheap and cheerful wins the day.
