  1. Some of them do seem hard to believe, but... I do remember when I was a teenager, it wasn't unheard of for boys to pee on the floor in the changing room deliberately. And some of the stories are more like lightly-used community pools, not busy British leisure centres, so you could get away with it, and maybe it wouldn't smell so much. I'd be amazed just on general principle if some people don't piss in changing cubicles at pools, just because there's enough privacy that you could get away with it. And I've heard from people who can't imagine that anyone would knowingly pee in the pool and
  2. Two, really: First one: a small-bladdered female friend sneaking a squat behind bushes on a railway platform to pee befoee the train came. Not that naughty because it wasn't in plain view of absolutely everyone but still quite public and broad daylight. The other: a small music festival. Straw bay "urinals" set up with signs saying "please piss on the straw", intended for guys to use, but a girl gets fed up with the long wait, asks "does anyone mind if I wee here?", and getting no objection, squats and pisses on the straw pretty much in view of everyone.
  3. Favourites: Underwater: in the sea, lakes, the pool, the bath. There's something really nice about feeling it flow out without any sound... Showers, obviously :) Woods and bushes (good for privacy) There's also something naughty about peeing outdoors on concrete or brick, so you leave a mark.
  4. I've been peeing in the bath since I was very young, with the only exception being sharing the bathwater with someone who doesn't want pee in it!
  5. The other good excuse is that, swimming with young kids, the kids are all peeing anyway, so you might as well. I can just about remember being very young and swimming in the small "training" pool, not the big one with all the adults swimming up and down in lanes. My teenage cousin wanders over from the main pool and splashes into the smaller, much warmer pool. Naturally, being young, I'm always asking why, so I ask her why she's not in the grown-up pool "I'm resting between laps", she says, "and also... ssh, don't tell any one, but I need a wee" "That's naughty!" "All the kids are weeing
  6. If I understand it right, it makes plants and weeds grow in the streams, and the plants use up all the oxygen, so the fish can't breathe. I don't think its as big a deal at smaller festivals.
  7. Not been, but I heard that they try to discourage outdoor pissing because the festival is so large that the piss gets into rivers and kills fish (!).
  8. Only surprise here is that you pulled your bottoms down! My ex-gf used to do that when about to get out of the sea - she'd say "wait, I'm just going to have a wee before I get out", and pull her bikini down so she could squirt her piss right into the water and then pull her clean bikini back up, but she never did that on a crowded beach or in a pool with lots of people - I mean, she'd still pee, but discreetly through her bikini without pulling it down. Personally, I like the warmth that you get when you pee through swimwear, and especially cold water means I have to go again after a few min
  9. You made it to 12 years old without peeing in the pool until then?!
  10. When I was very young I remember paddling in the sea - it was too cold to swim and my mum told me to wee in the sea so I just pulled it out and sprayed it into the waves. I also remember a friend standing up in the bath and peeing in it, and my mum said that was ok so that's something I've done for as long as I can remember. (Once we went on holiday somewhere and there was very limited hot water, and I remember being told NOT to pee in the bathwater because we'd all have to share it, one after the other) Another time we stayed somewhere with a private pool and I remember all of us at one tim
  11. A few times I've been caught short when the loos on the train are all out of order. Other times the loo has been smelly and blocked, leaving me having to piss in the sink. I've no objection to using the sink - when I was a student I had a sink in my room, and if you think I left my room in the middle of the night to pee in an actual toilet, you're mistaken - but being locked in a small smelly room I'd rather avoid.
  12. I remember hearing of an actress who was filming a beach scene - I think it might have been Halle Berry in a Bond film. While preparing to emerge from the water she requested a couple of minutes to "center herself", but the diver with the film crew reported that what she was actually doing was peeing in the sea...
  13. Only really seen these when at festivals or camping, and they tend to inspire alternatives, like pissing in a bottle (which means you can stay in the room or tent until the morning!), or just going outdoors somewhere, if the site's not too busy. One festival had a "composting" privy which had some sort of urine-catcher - to stop everything else getting smelly the urine got channelled outside in a pipe and just ended up in the bushes.
  14. I wonder if, once you've grown up with chamber pots being just a normal thing, that you take them for granted. Sure, they smell, but you don't have to go far in the cold in the middle of the night, and so you stick to the habit that you know. If your grandparents grew up with outside toilets and no central heating they'd be used to chamber pots and would maybe stick with them, where a younger person might be, like, eeeeuw, I'm not pissing in that, I'll have to clean it up.
  15. (Overheard near the beach) (One girl) "Can we have a loo stop in your house?" (Other girl, about to close front door) "If you really need to, but we're by the sea - you can wee in the water or on the pebbles" *** Women who've been in the water waist-deep, especially having done that just before leaving the beach. Seen this several times - pretty obvious pee break. *** Near-miss: woman with her feet in the water at the shore. "Shame, it's too cold to swim - I'm going to go look for a bathroom"
  16. I think you're right. There are some women who think pissing in the water is gross and won't do it, but there are guys who think that, too, and it's much easier to pull shorts or speedos down than to take a one-piece suit off. One time I swam with my ex-gf, we went to a pool which had a unisex changing room and cubicles, so once we had clothes off and swimwear on we were putting clothes away in lockers. "I have to pee", I said, but she leaned towards me and said wouldn't it be easier to go in the shower or the pool instead? That wasn't my habit then so I was surprised but I followed her lead
  17. I'm not 100% sure but I think swimming dehydrates you by making you pee, so it's that first yellow pee when you arrive you have to watch out for. Serious swimmers seem to drink from bottles often to rehydrate (or maybe they like both kinds of watersports too and are topping up so they can piss some more!).
  18. From what I've heard from people who piss in pools, that's a popular opinion - there's nothing wrong with it and it's normal and everyone does it, or that the pool is huge and what's a few drops of wee and it doesn't matter. And hot tubs are small, but it's not like people are getting the water in their eyes or on their lips like in a pool. Sometimes people follow their own rules - my ex-girlfriend would usually shower before swimming and would pee there, so she didn't usually do like Maggie and empty her entire bladder of pee right into the pool, but if she needed to go before she was read
  19. I expect so, Maggie, and if not then, at other times. It freed me up a bit - I can remember peeing in the pool when I was little but kind of imagined it was something people grew out of, but now I never go to the gents at the pool - I'll go in the shower or the pool water but I try and be a little discreet about it. At the beach I don't care and I'll paddle waist deep for a piss or piss openly into the water at a nude beach. Now whenever I swim in London I'll wonder whether it's one of the pools that Maggie has marked as her own!
  20. When I was 19 I went swimming with my gf and her mum in a big outdoor pool. After about half an hour she and her mum were sitting at the shallow end and I swam up to join them. My gf asks both of us whether we're ok to stay in the pool a bit longer, and we both say, yes, sure, we'll do a few more lengths, then she leans towards me and whispers that she has to pee and do I mind if she does it there? I don't mind and say so, and she just pushes her legs apart a little bit and lets out this little quiet sigh, and for a moment I feel like I felt a little patch of warmth drift by my legs. She told
