Well If i was squatting somewhere on land I would pull the crotch aside. If i was in the water it really depends on how I'm feeling. Sometimes I'd pull it aside just to be feel a little naughty, other times I'd just let it go

I wear trunks more these days since I'm a trans boy, but whenever I would wear bathing suits I would pull my panties down when peeing. My stream is always rather hard so pulling them aside means I still would probably get some on me. But if I was peeing in the water, I would just go into my panties.

Of the gf's I've had who would piss in public. They would pull swim suits over to the side and usually remove panties down to their knees or so. One explained it as swim suits are more substantial material and often tied on or other wise harder to quickly drop so it was faster and easier to pull it to the side to clear her pussy and piss.
