Although the revisit is in a larger format, it is hard not to think that this revisit is a filler, as if they didn’t have enough new content.

The return of two models who starred in a lesbian story in Issue 23, ‘Sweet Water Music’ features the woman in the guise of Mrs Meier, a music ‘mistress’ and her two young pupils, Rosa and Dagmar. As far as I know, the character she plays is her last for Sex Bizarre, but it’s a wonderful departure, clad to look like a mistress from the late 1800’s, replete with grey wig to age her, monocles, brown corset and bustier, stockings and tie-up boots. She would not look out of place as a school ma’am in a St Trinian’s film. The premise of the story is that Rosa is stealing a glance at a porn magazine tucked between the music sheets that she is supposed to be learning from. Ironically it is the very same issue that she has modelled for in issue 23. Her colleague, Dagmar joins her, flicking through the pages of the magazine, causing her to pee in her white jeans. Mrs Meier catches them having fun together and eventually joins in the pissing fun. ‘Sweet Water Music’ is an excellent ensemble from the Theander Brothers, and would be regarded as one of the best lesbian features in the magazine so far. 1979 now seems like a vintage year for the Theander Brothers with all of their publications being sold globally. Better and bolder design with excellent photography the distribution in those countries with more relaxed censorship laws must have been exceeding expectations. It was still harder to purchase these magazines in the UK, with customs and excise stopping the imports by mail and freight and retail outlets raided by the Vice Squad.

 

Thanks to someone called ‘Mogli’ superior scans of the magazine are now widely available on line. This issue is a good high res copy of the original print. On the inside pages adverts for models and ‘reader’ photos continue, although it is difficult to discern whether many did apply, I’m sure that they had more male applicants than female! Having said that, the models continue to be highly sexually attractive. This issue begins with a story called ‘Soho Showers’ and an Anglo-Indian ‘whore’ called Maureen. Maybe the Brothers were poking fun at the UK, Soho in the seventies was crammed with vice and sleaze, but most adult bookshops sold inferior copies of the Danish and Swedish magazines.

 

Maureen has two male clients, ‘Dutch navy men’ who waste no time in fucking Maureen, vaginally and anally. We say goodbye to the 1970’s with this excellent issue, the first published in a new decade, the 1980’s. Publisher and Responsible Editor is Peter Theander with his brother Jens at the helm with his camera. The design and layout remains the same and they are still recruiting models, it’s worth considering the advert placed on the inside cover: ‘We need attractive girls with a good figure, an erotic personality and the ability to act naturally and without inhibition in front of a camera, under sextraordinary conditions. I do wonder what the take up was from the advertisement and whether it was a role specifically for this magazine. Did the brother’s run the organisation like Vogue or any other top fashion magazine with a roster of models that they could call upon to ‘perform’ in their films and magazines. Judging by the first story in Issue 27, the model in the story ‘Wet Wanker’ meets the criteria that they were looking for. Published in May 1980, Issue 25 still boasts the streamline; ‘World Famous Wet sex Magazine’, but not for the first time, the Theander Brothers have introduced a photo-story depicting scatology, the first since issues 14 and 15, and ironically featuring the same model. However, the magazine begins with a feature called ‘Summer Showers’. A young couple meet and have sex in a domestic garden or park, with a tartan picnic blanket spread out on the lawn. The young guy starts taking photos of ‘Sophie’ as she sits on a bench drinking a cold beer. He lifts her vest top up exposing one breast, then her short floral summer skirt is hiked up to reveal that she is wearing no knickers, suspender belt and white stockings. They perform oral sex on one another, taking it turns to pleasure each other, before fucking in a conventional manner. Then, Sophie straddles her boyfriends body and releases the ‘piquant, amber liquid’, with the text implying that she has an orgasm.

 

The controversial story ‘Castle Bizarre’ begins with an interesting scenario set in the past, 1918 to be precise. In fact there is a textual pre-amble German history before being introduced to the ‘Countess’, Henriette. She is being cared for by a nurse, Liselotte, in a setting with a dark theatrical interior, that we can presume is a bedroom in a private abode. The undercurrent of the story is one of ill-health, nursing and the administration of toilet care. It is not for the feint-hearted and I will not dwell any further on the contents. In terms of urolagnia the nurse provides her Mistress with a glass bowl in which she urinates and pours the contents down her mouth and breasts. The nurse is entranced and stimulated to perform other acts, including the administration of an enema.

 

The final story, ‘Liquid Lovers’ is in fact a re-visit to issue 8. I presume that these ‘fillers’ are a substitute for the lack of new models and/or stories. Seven years had passed, the Thunder’s still had the negatives and so ‘Piss Orgy’ becomes ‘Liquid Lovers’. I have said all I can on the story if you read my review of the older magazine. However the new design and layout requires the viewer to get a closer look at those spotty student type who gather together over drinks and undertake a piss orgy. There is the added ingredient of the text, (missing in Issue 8). The introduction sets the scene: ‘At last, things seemed to be going better for Waltraud and Rosemarie.
