I'm surprised at how much the first section, Golden Trio, excites me. I don't find either of the women especially attractive; in fact they look to me like slightly over the hill whores who would do anything for money. (But I mean no disrespect for prostitutes, who fulfil such an essential social function.) I find this entire picture set sleazy. But ... the sleaze definitely turns me on. That includes the emphasis on anal. 

"The Theanders released a number of specialist titles, one of them ‘Anal Sex’, but often the sex acts depicted overlapped, so at the beginning of Golden Trio we are treated to some anal ..."

I've never thought about it before but I wonder how much actual overlap there was between the titles. Were women hired to do photo sessions including, for example, both anal sex and piss, specific pictures then being published in the relevant magazines? I'm especially turned on by the pictures here where one woman is kissing the other's cunt, in close proximity to the cock up that woman's arse. It's quite a common visual trope, but no less arousing for that. The odours must have been pungent at times for the cunt licker.

When I first started visiting continental sex shops, anal (as well as piss porn) was categorized as a specialist subject. I also find the third set in this issue sleazy, though for me it's a bit less exciting than the first. That may be because one of the three women is wearing a mask. I understand the need for masks in other, more extreme kinds of taboo porn, but the face mask seems unnecessary here. - Though it's clearly the model's right to adopt a disguise if she wants to. Sex Bizarre Forty Two

 

Published in May 1987, the opening story, ‘Golden Games’ is set in a Spanish resort and features one of the most attractive female models from that period. My research has revealed that Peter Theander had fallen out with his brother over the direction of the corporation, as far as I am aware it was Peter that was pushing the publications into more exotic locations and embracing the German publishers and models. Golden Games is a typical Peter Theander production, as the girl is picked up at the airport by two men who take her to a Villa for sex that results in pissing. The photography is excellent throughout capturing the streams of urine, sparkling in the hot sun. One of the men mysteriously leaves the scene, after taking a mouthful of piss, the other keeps his clothes on, until he strips and fucks the girl, climaxing in yet another stream of pee aimed at her mouth and face. It ends with the usual ejaculation shots.

 

From the mid to late 1980’s the magazine promotes the VHS films, known as the Color Climax Bestsellers and numbered. The Cassette contained six films each with 10 minute films with the emphasis on pissing, usually shot at the same time as the stills photographs used in the magazines.

 

Wet Sex Party is the second story and re-visits the same one in Sex Bizarre 22, although initially called ‘Jane’s Sexy Party’, (see my review of Issue 22). As mentioned before, the magazine increased in size and was moving towards the 80 page publication of the 1990’s. Those who were avid collectors may have felt short-changed by filling the magazine with older stories, but there was always one or two shots that were different and the resolution sharper than the original photographs.

 

Kinky Barmaid is the final, original story with what looks like another Spanish setting. I can only speculate on the context of Spain, on several visits to Barcelona in the 1980’s and 90’s I was able to purchase HC magazines from newsstands on the Ramblas. I presume that the Spanish authorities tolerated pornography or turned a blind eye. The kinky barmaid of this story pisses high and hard towards the end, the camera capturing every golden bead of urine as it flies in the air!

Not that I'm aware but I do have a contact in Norway who has carried out fairly extensive research on the Color Climax Corporation, however it is clear that there was a sea-change in the publications during the 1980's in terms of the design, print, layout and of course locations and models.

The female in this story is relatively nondescript, by that I mean that they do not fit the usual attributes of being professional models. Perhaps they were two who sent in photographs to the CC Corporation requesting to ‘star’ in the magazine. We know that throughout the 1980’s the Theander Brothers posted an advert requesting people to participate in their magazines. The setting is also a bit ’blingy’ and ‘showy’ like a well appointed apartment with a luxury bathroom. The third story ‘Golden Girl’ is another unorthodox gem, I do wonder whether the model contact, Jytte Jacobsen was looking for guys who looked like celebrities, in this case the guy in the shoot looks like a cross between Bob Geldof and Mick Jagger! However, the girl is a real find, French looking or having Latin looks, she has the most dense black bush that I have seen so far in these magazines. Second set:  Champagne Secret
