After our holiday, it was time to drive home again. Like first, we were going to switch every 2,5 hours. In this instance we were driving for about 3 hours. We were planning on stopping on the next possible rest stop, as we were hungry and a small urge to pee was coming.

We were in Germany, which means you have a create a special lane so emergency services can drive through the traffic. Soon, a lot of ambulances, police fire trucks came toring past and it was clear that a large accident had happened. I started looking on the internet and it soon became clear that that indeed was the case. If you know Germany, then you know that they just close off the entire highway when a big accident has happened. I found this had happened in this case as well. And worse, the accident was not far ahead of us which meant that we were "trapped" in between the accident and the starting point of the detour the police had put on place. 

After about half an hour standing in the exact same place, people started going out of their cars. We did the same, chatted with other drivers and had some food and drinks. The urge to pee also rose in the meantime, but to distract ourselves from that, we started playing some cards. Around us, people had even started playing football and there was a couple who took our a blanket to have a picknick right there on the highway.

This holiday was, as I said in an apartment. We were staying there with the entire family of my gf as I mentioned. She then very casually replied as if it was the most normal thing in the world "oh, I already went. Then they left for home. My gf and her sister were still very angry with the shop that didn't let them use the bathroom. They decided to take some more revenge, next to the spit on the clothes they already left. They returned to their car in the parking garage where they noticed they both had to pee. It's been a while, but I will update! The question from my last post is still very much open for answers and idead, as only 1 extra "special occasion" has occured since. I will describe 2 pees in this post, as they happened on the same day and technically aren't really seperate events. As you know, we love roadtripping, so we openend Google Maps and created a route of around 500 kilometers through our country. Mostly through nature, not hitting any highways. We planned to leave early in the morning, so we would be home right in time for the 21:00 curfew that our country had but also give us some time to walk around a little bit. So we stocked up our car on food and drinks and left for the day.

We were driving along our route and we realised how beautiful our country is. Something we never really realised before, as our normal holiday routine is somewhere abroad. Around lunchtime, I realised I had to pee quite badly. I told this to my girlfriend and she told me she also was hungry, so I would be a good idea to find a parking place to have our lunch as well. This roadtrip was really to our liking. It was the perfect way for us to kill the lockdown boreness. So much, that we quickly decided to do another one. Once we arrived there, we shut off the sat nav system of our car. Ofcourse it's way more fun to navigate through what the paper we had printed out was telling us rather than a digital map! We had a lot of fun driving through quaint villages, nature parks and answering the questions. Eventually, we neared lunchtime. At the time, we were driving through a quite dense forest, with no real opportunities to stop. After a while however, we found a small parking lot. It consisted of cobblestones and it was shaped in a circle. There was room for maybe 8 cars in total, but at this time there was only 1 our car parked there. Furthermore, there was a shelter which contained toilets, but due to the lockdown they were inaccesible. Also there was a small children's playground. We parked our car and had our lunch.
