PornHub Deletion.

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,

Happy NewYear.

Man, That Pornhub deletion took away so many good piss videos i ad saved as “favorites” Should of downloaded them.  I guess hindsight is 20/20.    Did anyone happen to download all of that ?  I mean,  it was a lot.   There was this one user name “REI88” I think ?  That person had like 25 pages of awesome pee content .

And getting verified doesn't bring it back.  It seems the "under review" messages were a smokescreen.  Content from unverified members was scrubbed.  If they get verified later it seems they'll have to upload everything all over again.

I think a lot of content will never be reloaded.

Prudery is like a vicious brain disease in western societies.  I despise the anti-sex bigots for all the pain and misery they cause.  Considering that they are only a vocal minority, they still manage to do a world of harm.   Censorship of web sites is just the thin end of their ugly wedge..

This might explain why I couldn't find one of my favourite videos today. Curly haired woman on an office chair tastes her pussy and asshole before cumming and pissing. Really hot. Anyone know if its still around or I can find it anywhere else?

I agree that any form of censorship, beyond obvious illegal stuff, animals, kids etc,is wrong. We are all adults we all KNOW how we pee,poo and have sex dont we?Im of the view that you protect kids from porn,by TAKING MORE FKN INTEREST IN WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE FKN DOING ONLINE,than insisting upon banning evertything unless your 13 year olds see a boob or fanny etc. Also speaking of censorship,im also against any kind of thought censorship,i.e "hate speech".It should be a human right to "hate" any damn thing you feel fit.

This is a childish reaction. Have you actually paused and considered the reason for this mass-deletion?

The only discriminating factor was registered vs non-registered. It was not a matter of content (unlike UK's ban of pee-related content) and therefore was not about censorship, prudery, or anything like that.

From what I could gather, the main driver was an injunction from the Canadian government directing PornHub to clean up its act. And the underlying reason was that many unregistered accounts were used to either re-post copyrighted content without their author's consent (ripped from pornhub itself, MDH, or even professional videos) or post anonymous content without the subject's consent (voyeur porn, revenge porn, etc...).

Both are illegal, and I would argue immoral.

And yes, I am somewhat of a hypocrite because let's face it I've benefited from both. Especially voyeur content which by definition is captured without the subject's awareness. I still have enough self-awareness, though, to recognize my hypocrisy and not fault PornHub for it.

Censorship on what is right,is different to censorship on vague "moral" grounds. Its rightly illegal to make or view child porn,or animal sexual abuse, but to ban pee because people dont like it is wrong.Best idea is if you dont like it dont watch it.So called "revenge porn" im ambivalent about. In the first place,WHY would you even WANT to film yourself having sex with some one-night stand? So dont do it if you feel you be exploited.I would enjoy watching it if i ever saw it,sorry.

I find it generally odd that there is sexual censorship anyway,we are all male or female,we all know what our bits and pieces are for,so why censor it?If people can make a living having sex with each other, and people wish to see it,wheres the harm?

This is parents who find it somehow unpalatable to actually discipline and monitor their kids online. In my day we had "dirty magazines",which i do pity these days arent as much a forbidden fruit,as they were in my day.

I'm going to make a little leap of faith here (because I haven't researched so don't know if I'm right) and guess that PornHub want to be able to carry out their business activities as a legitimate business organisation.  They want credit card merchants to trade with them, otherwise how do they make a profit, they want to build their audience which means being able to continue appearing in search engine results and exempt where government website content censorship is applied.

The root cause as I see it in my simple mind is that all humans like to have their ego massaged. Some do this by appointing themselves to stand as authority figures and minister over people, to hold positions of power.  In the western world (which is what we're talking here) some do this within politics and others within the church.  Irrespective of any 'duty to serve the public' or 'calling of God' I'd suggest that the most prominent are in it for themselves. They surround themselves by like minded followers, and in both cases being a self appointed moral compass seems to be the commonly chosen weapon to wield.

So - I totally agree that the right thing is for PH to ban genuinely immoral and downright illegal content. I'm OK with PH demonstrating that they are actively working to prevent theft and distribution of copyright material.  Whether there was a better way to do it?   Certainly what they've done is the quickest. I don't know if they were working to a 31/12/2020 deadline, but introducing the 'verified user' case certainly has been successful in controlling what they contain.

In the long run I'd rather it exists and continues to host some readily available content which I can view.  I do lament the loss of big chunks of hot content.  I don't see their action as clamping down on pee per-se, but just exercising control over their chosen content creators. Hopefully this is a blip and we'll see new pee content appearing as the genuine creators fulfil the verification path - and let's face it, if they want to sell their videos as well as offering freebies then those creators need a market stall.
