Good for you, I'm happy it worked out. If you put things in perspective having a guy knock you up repeatedly, rear children and have a whole life together seems to dwarf the small weirdness of a little piss play. @Crispy, that is a great experience that you have had and I'm really pleased it has worked out well for you as if you had not asked, you would not have had that pleasure and it seems that your wife is now likely to be willing to indulge you from time to time, if not more frequently. 

However, in answer to the title of the thread "Ask your wife, what’s the worst that can happen?", unfortunately the answer is that it can be quite an ordeal with negative consequences.  There are people here who have done exactly that and asked their partner to do something with pee and the reaction is extremely negative leading to relationship problems, so the worst I guess would be that they would be horrified at your request and change their view of you as a person and increase tension between you, ridicule you in front of others and maybe even divorce you.  This concern is exactly why a lot of people keep their interest in pee secret.  

I am, like you, lucky that I did ask my wife and came out of it with a new situation where she knows of (most of) my interest and is willing to indulge me, although she doesn't understand it and she doesn't share the interest at all.  I am only writing this because I don't want anyone to jump in feet first and ruin their relationship as not everyone is as accepting as your wife.

@Crispy, I am happy to hear of your success, but I strongly agree with @Alfresco, this is not something to be taken lightly. After nearly 15 years of marriage, I began broaching the subject "lightly" with my wife, and the reaction was very negative at first. There was definitely kink-shaming, and it definitely strained our relationship (at least at first). 

Now that some time has passed, things have eased, and it's not quite the "hot button" issue it had originally been, but definitely not something she enjoys, nor is particularly willing to do, even though she loves me.

Suffice it to say, everyone is different, and not everyone's spouse/partner will have as favorable of a reaction as yours did.

Here’s my version:
