On The Road With Glad

I travel a lot for my work, usually spending several days a month on long drives. On the way to my next destination, I'll often be behind the wheel 10, 12 and somtimes 14 hours in a day. What makes the trip less boring are the frequent stops along the way. While the tank in my car is good for more than 500 miles, my own is usually less, sometimes considerably if drink enough to keep from getting dehydrated as well as staying awake. I'm no stranger to a quick stop along the side of the road, taking in the scenery while occasionally offering a view of my own to those passing by.

Yes, there have been several times I've been caught. I can tell you more, but maybe it's best for you to come along with me for a ride.

The side of the road will do just fine. Maybe prop my ass off the side of the car. Or just squat down which ever is easier.

I'd been driving for a couple hours when I got caught in a delay due to road construction. Going slowly nowhere in traffic isn't exactly my idea of fun and it gets even more annoying as I reach my desperation point. After about 90 minutes, we starting moving again, but by then one hand was holding myself a lot. 

Finally, I reached an exit and pulled off. I doubt if I was out of sight of the highway, but I couldn't care at this point.

What I love to do when I have the time is take the back roads rather than the highway. The trip is usually far less rushed and almost always offers better sights.  Some may be of my own making.

Hopefully, there are a few women here who'd enjoy riding along with me.

With all that's been going on recently, I haven't done much traveling lately. 

I'll have to post some oldies from times when I was suddenly called to the side of the road.. Guess I could call them "Blasts from the Past", like this one from a couple years ago.
