I know, but there's also a lot of context there that I left out that made me feel safe enough. It's worth noting that these stupid rules mostly oppress native Qatari women, a lot of them don't apply to tourists. Like I was allowed to drink alcohol and even wear a bikini to the beach (although maybe that was because it was a private beach, could be the rules are different for public ones)

Don't worry, there will be more stories... Pretty much immediately after posting this, a few countries came to mind that I had missed, so I'll be making an update at some point. I value my personal hygiene, so when I go to a public bathroom, my number one goal is to touch as little as possible. Before I got into naughty peeing that meant I'd hover, and most of my stream would go into the toilet bowl, but some also wouldn't. But then I became friends with this girl who just didn't give a fuck, and I realized how much less of a hassle it all was if you didn't bother aiming, or even just straight-up squatted on the floor. Plus it's fun to just let your stream go wild I realized, and you get a little kick out of the fact that that's not what you're "supposed" to do 😁

I feel sorta obligated to mention that in reality this isn't the norm in all (or even most) German locker rooms. Especially not in the type of places you'd visit as a tourist. It's really mostly contained to run-down community facilities that only get used by like one local sports team or so. Which of course isn't to say you can't pee in regular locker rooms too (I for sure have), but it's definitely not the norm, and if you get caught most people will look at you like you're a weirdo too.

It's weird but I can confirm, many people in Germany are absolutely like this. You could e.g. be outside eating something together, and they'd make a giant scene if you so much as dared to drop a napkin. But then you'd go behind some bushes to pee, and lo and behold, they'd leave their tissue in the puddle.

For sure. Idk about the US (haven't witnessed it as much here) but in Germany e.g. you'd often see the phenomenon of these places sorta becoming the unofficial girls' toilet for the day/night. And then it wouldn't be just tissues, but also packaging and other stuff like feminine hygiene products... But I must admit I'm not innocent here, probably even less so than @Miss Piss lol, since I litter my tampons too 🙈
