I'm surprised I never read this story or maybe it's been so long that I've forgotten. But it brought to mind a few conversations I had on hiking trails some years back. I was raised in the Christian faith and still follow most all its teachings, but I'd sometimes wonder how far I strayed from the path.

Over the course of literally hundreds of hikes, I've gotten to talk about most everything under the sun with my trail partners. More often than one might expect, the topic turned to philosophy and religion. I suppose spending hours out in nature encouraged thoughts of spirituality. And, often in the middle of those lengthy talks, one or both of us needed to pee. 

I've found that after a couple hikes, we've gotten comfortable enough with one another that the situation is seldom awkward. And, if it is, we just walk a few steps further away. At the same time, I've noticed that most women, or at least most outdoorsy women are at least a bit what I'd call "pee curious" and a few obviously shared our interest.

But, what I didn't expect was one minute having a deep conversation with a woman on matters of faith and the next she's watering the ground not more than ten feet from me and making no attempt to hide that she enjoyed this. This time I was the one who was curious and, when she was finished, I asked how she could reconcile her behaviour. 

Without hesitation she earnestly explained, "The very same Lord that gave us the ability to seek out good and experience pleasure was the same who saw to it that we needed to urinate. Seeing how it was His will, it should never be considered sinful." From that point on, I was good with that.

I never had someone surprise me when I used a unisex bathroom. But, a few times I've had a woman invite me to join them.

I've occasionally been asked to give a urine sample at a doctor's office. I can't recall a situation there where I ever did anything naughty other than try to pee into a too small bottle.

But, one time at a urologist I was asked to use one of those devices that measures the flow rate. There was only a thin partition separating me from the female technician who was monitoring this. So, while she couldn't see anything, she could certainly hear every sound I made. 

I might add that she was not unattractive, so it was good that my bladder was very full or I might not have been able to start. But, I was desperate enough that I burst into full flow almost immediately. I'll have to say I was at least a little excited knowing that someone was just a few feet away. And, in my mind I was imagining she was watching and liked what she was seeing.

I was brought back to reality when my stream ended maybe 20 seconds later. I suppose I shook off the last drops a little vigorously as I finished up, then walked back into the room. The technician went in to grab the flowmeter, then returned after jotting down what the device had recorded. Only after that did we briefly make eye contact, when she looked up from her clipboard to tell me I had done well. I'm pretty sure she tried to hide her smile. I gave my best effort to try to hide something else.

Great to hear about your first road trip experience. Aren't they so much fun? I'm hoping that you had such a good time that you plan on taking many more. Of course, you'll have to share with your fans all the details.

You do know, though, you can't count peeing in a state until you do it somewhere you're not supposed to? 😁

I take a lot of long car trips, so far more times than I can count. When I can no longer hold, I'll usually pull over to the side of the road. At times where I couldn't, I've used an empty cup or water bottle. Haven't most of us at some point?

About two hours ago, in my side yard. And yes!

For a few weeks I dated a woman who would pee in a container each morning and record in her journal the color, volume, whether it was clear or cloudy and what did it smell like. I never saw her taste it though.

I found her a bit too weird for my tastes. But, that was for other reasons. 🙄

You're not the only one! 😁 While I always try to be discreet and respectful, when I have a roadside "emergency", I might not pay attention to where I let things fly.

I too am sad, for both you and for me, that your adventures have come to a stop. I guess, like all good things, they must end. But, I somehow think you'll find a way to make your boring city life interesting. If, no, when that happens, I'm sure your friends here would love to hear.
