Admin 14,788
At one stage I explored the option of trying to create professional pee videos, though decided it was a little too far out of my comfort zone and a very risky business. Though, I think many of us have had the thought before that it'd be great just to make our own videos, tailored the way we want them. However, my question is this: is running a paid pee video site still a viable business? Perhaps this is a rather niche question, but I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts, especially from anyone with experience in this area. It seems more and more sites are getting closed down or facing all kinds of issues ranging from legal problems to people simply not willing to pay. 2 Link to post
likesToLick 10,216
It seems impossible to prevent videos being illegally copied once you have made them, so whatever content you create will probably be widely distributed within a month of first sale. So whatever sales revenue you make in that one month is perhaps all you can count on. Some of the larger sites are still making very high quality content. Sin Drive for example is making 4k ultra high definition pee porn with beautiful models, and they seem to be succeeding at it. (I don't have a 4k monitor, but I have bought some of their movies in HD and the quality is superb.) They seem to work on a membership model. It costs about 70 EUR for 12 months membership, which allows full download access to their entire catalogue of movies. If it costs 10,000 euros to shoot and edit each movie, and they make 25 movies each year, then they would need 4000 subscribers to have a profitable business. If those subscribers are happy after 12 months, they will sign up again and fund the next lot of movies. Some sites help to make it work by encouraging the members to interact with the producers and talent. They can suggest themes for movies, chat with the performers in a forum and so on. This probably promotes on-going loyalty, although it can backfire. Eromaxxx ("pissing in action") had a blog where they gave previews of upcoming shoots, and chatted about behind the scenes life on the set. Some producers have held private parties where members can meet the talent and perhaps enjoy a live show.) Sorry, this is just an incoherent stream of thoughts. Most of them apply to things a large business can do. I imagine it would be very difficult to start a small operation without any reputation to bring in the buyers. It may be that the future lies in a "Kickstarter" type crowd funding model, where you announce that you want to hire, say Leila Smith and Frankie Babe to make a pee movie, and a well known videographer to shoot it, provided that enough people will pay five quid each that you will have 10,000 pounds by May 30th. You wait for the funds to roll in, and if they do, make the movie. I'm guessing that existing crowdfunding sites won't fund porn, so you may have to invent the funding site first. Have you ever seen the American porn series "dirty debutantes"? This is made on an absolute shoestring - one old guy who leaves his camera on a tripod while he stars in the movie with one girl. He concentrates on new models who are just starting in the industry who will work for around $500 per movie. He seemed to make it work for many years. Maybe you could take a similar approach to pee porn, but UK laws may give you a rough time. You might need to move to the Netherlands. 1 Link to post
Brutus 2,206
As likesToLick said, illegal distribution is unavoidable at this point and could easily ruin your business. Most people aren't willing to pay. There was a very good production of voyeur movies called real-voyeur. They captured some awesome hidden footage of women peeing in public and you can still find some of it scattered across countless sites but they went under. Despite the great quality, they couldn't make it, probably due to pirating and the niche fetish that pee already is. You would have to produce very high quality content that offers something to the entire spectrum of pee fetishes to bring in the biggest audience. You would also have to aggressively pursue pirating which would be costly and time consuming. Regardless, a dedicated pee production site is a very small market in comparison to mainstream porn categories. Link to post
TVGuy 1,416
Terribly sorry to jump in so late here on this conversation, but I thought I might be able to help out. Having been producing pee fetish content for 10 years now, I may have some perspective on this. To answer if it is a viable business or not- That all depends on how much money you need to bring in to consider it viable. Can you make money? Yes. Can you make enough money to cover your expenses? Possibly. Can you make enough to consider it a viable business? Eh... Competition is tough. Few people are willing to pay money for this kind of content, and those who are have lots of options to choose from. You really need to offer your members something special to get them to stick around, and you need to be able to communicate to potential members the value of your site over all their other choices. Even if you can do all that, there are countless challenges- You have to manage budgets, production logistics, technological challenges, piracy, legal and regulatory issues, and more. With that said, it is not impossible. If you have any specific questions, let me know. 2 Link to post

Most people aren't willing to pay. Just a small counterpoint to this. In some cases, unlicensed distribution can be to your advantage. I have subscribed to many sites over the past 20 years. For a lot of those sites, my introduction to them was by seeing samples of their content that had been distributed illegally. If I had not seen those "pirate" images or clips, I would not have known of the producer in the first place, so unlicensed copying actually led to them receiving money from me that they would not otherwise have had. Some people will never pay for anything. They are not your customers, and will never be, so you lose nothing by their viewing of your material. Others are willing to pay for better quality, or a better experience, and unlicensed material can bring their money to your bank account. I would say it would be a good marketing strategy to release lots of short clips and previews, in standard definition, with your site address clearly watermarked, and an information panel saying the full length high def version is available to subscribers. If you can ensure that these are widely distributed in the "pirate" market they could bring in that one person in a hundred who will subscribe. Those enthusiasts are your bread and butter. With enough of them you need not worry about the inevitable freeloaders. Of course I have never tried to run a porn site, so I could just be blowing smoke. Food for thought anyway I guess. These days, porn of every category imaginable is available in endless supply, on free streaming sites. Personally, when I come across a trailer that links to the producers site, and I head over to see that they want a paid subscription or sell videos separate, I'm gone. The first thing is, I don't care enough to pay the ridiculous prices they charge. I'm talking like 20 bucks for a 6 minute video. I understand that they are trying to cover their production costs with a small audience but still, it's too much money to ask. Second, there are security concerns any time a credit card has to be typed in to any site, but especially some obscure porn site that's run in some country on the other side of the planet, where they may have no concern for your security at all. Add to that, their likely financial difficulties, and they are very unlikely to have a secure transaction server. Third, odds are the video is already uploaded somewhere for free. I have purchased videos in the past, only to see them turn up on Pornhub or something. I think for the most part, it's a dying market, just like DVD rental stores began dying when Netflix blew up. Free porn is just too easy for most people to open their wallet. Edited November 13, 2017 by Brutus Link to post

Some times they offer very good deals, like a 12 month subscription for $100 for example. This is comparable to the gold member fee on this site, and usually gives access to all the content on the site. I used to pay $70 each for crappy porn on VHS tapes, back when that was real money. What we have today is a hundred times better - beautiful girls on high definition video with high quality sound. I'm happy to make a small contribution to sponsoring it. If it was made in my country I would probably offer to contribute to production costs in return for observing in the studio and meeting the girls. I keep a separate debit card with a small preload on it, for internet subscriptions only. If it gets scammed the most I can ever lose is $300. In 25 years it has never happened. Peefreak99 3,722
I think as long as videos are being copied no. i find copied pay videos from b2b on thisvid, pornhub etc and from many other sites. People don't need to pay for them as long as they can find them there for free. And also i don't think that many would pay for porn. Link to post
