So I have a partner who's not really into watersports, but we experimented a bit in the shower or bathtub right before showering.

But every time in the early morning when he feels he needs to go, I notice he's got a hard one.
He tells me it's because of the urge to pee, but the urge doesn't arouse him, let alone the idea of letting go. It's just like some physiological reaction to it, supposedly to hold it back more effectively.
When I tease him down there a bit and stroke it, the urge grows every single time and I made him run for the bathroom already 😂

Maybe it's because I grew up with the idea of letting it go being hot (from a certain age on) that I§m unfamiliar with this, but I'm curious how common this is among men to just be hard because you need to go without being aroused?

@cantholdit - It's a natural occurrence in guys known as 'morning wood'.

The male body does this little trick that when the guy wakes up with a full bladder, the body will automatically trigger that erection.  It's because when we're erect, the urethra from the bladder is in effect 'clamped shut' to stop pee flowing (it's very difficult to pee when erect).

But of course the body still needs to pee, so that's why even though you're teasing him and keeping the erection up, he still needs to pee.

It is very common across almost all guys.

Thanks for the clarification. The confusing aspects at play are here also that I have a hard-on from purposeful desperation because I know what's coming, until the pressure grows really high, then it goes soft because it's becoming too distracting.

And at the same time, he has no issues pissing with an erection, so even though it's a normal reaction to get hard from desperation only, it serves no real purpose for him.

I am personally super hard when I wake up as long as I am hydrated and well rested. Now personally I love pissing with a boner but for those not practiced in pissing while hard it can be difficult. Personally I can't piss in a toilet while hard because if I have to bend my cock down I can't piss. Because of this I piss in the sink or in the past I pissed in some people bathtubs or outside.

I think a morning hard-on is commonplace for most guys. I also grew up with the idea of letting it go being hot. I was a bedwetter into puberty and I think relieving my morning hard-on (in both ways) led to my pee fetish. I learned to enjoy it.

Indeed the morning wood is a well known phenomenon. But he claims it's because of the pressure. Well I'm not him so I can't judge, I just jokingly said he must like the feeling then, but he denies that. I too have morning woods most of the time but they are completely unrelated.

MY MORNING WOOD

Several years ago I was in the hospital. I had to use one of those plastic urine bottles.  Due to problems with my hands I needed assistance.  I would have a aid or nurse hold the bottle while I peed. I Always found it hot talking to the female aids while pissing.  Just small talk.

     One morning they woke me because they needed a specimen ASAP but because I was awakened I had a piss hard on.

   When she held the bottle my dick would sit right and it was leaking . The nurse told me not to worry, she would clean me up and put on new linens as soon as she got my sample to the lab

   When she got back and was washing me I said ' sorry about before" she said don't worry. It's more common than I think.

Hospitals are an issue. The last time I was in the hospital I asked the nurse for an overnight diaper because they put me on some heavy duty meds and I didn't want to wet the bed. She sent an orderly and all he could find was a teenager's overnight pullup which was way too small for me. I put it on anyway and woke up wet with the bed also soaked several hours later. I was very embarrassed but the nurse said it was no problem because they use waterproof pads on all the beds that have washable absorbing pads attached. Nurses have seen it all.

I ask for a couple of towels and put them between my legs and pee into it. Bedding and linens are100% dry. I throw wet towel on the floor and gets picked up with dirty linens
