Popular Post MidoriLemonade85 2,366
Seeing as we are always talking about food in the Live Chat, I thought it might be fun to start a cooking thread! So…. 1. What did you cook today? 2. Can we have the recipe? 3. Does this meal have special meaning for you? 4. Did you pee while you cooked and if so, how and where? 5. Pics? Me?: 1. Kupar 13,339
Looks lovely! And a good idea for a thread thanks! I will contribute to it ... but not today as I am eating out at a pub. Hope you enjoyed your patties! 😋 2 Link to post
jorel2012 230
Ah, yesterday I peed my pants while cooking but have no pictures of the meal. In fact it was just spirelli noodles with olive oil, salt n pepper. I think everyone can imagine that without a pic 😉 Here’s the story: 1 1 Link to post

likesToLick 10,216
OK, rising to the challenge 😁, this is what I made for dinner tonight. It's a creation of my own, and I haven't tried it out on another person yet, but I've made it for me quite a lot and I think it's OK. Spicy Fish and Vegetable Curry I start with a 2 litre casserole dish, add 50 ml water, some chopped cabbage, and one whole diced red capsicum. I sprinkle some coriander, turmeric and cumin on the vegetables, then mix 2 heaped teaspoons each of Thai red curry paste and minced chili with a large can of tuna. Next I add half the hot tuna mix to the dish, putting the other half away in the fridge for tomorrow. I also add some chopped broccolini. Diced potato and onion are next, drizzled with some ginger and lemongrass infused olive oil, then sprinkled with more turmeric and cumin. The final layer is diced tomatoes topped with thinly sliced cauliflower and one last sprinkle of spices. Oh, I added a couple more spoons of minced chili too. The lid goes on the casserole, then it all goes in the microwave for 25 minutes on 800 watts. After 25 minutes, take the dish out, stir everything up until fully mixed, then give it another 20 minutes on 800 watts. Let stand for 15 minutes after it pings. Here is the finished curry being served. It's enough for two people as a main course, or four as an entree, but the entire dish has fewer calories than a single slice of take-away pizza, so it's quite OK to scoff the whole thing, which I did. 😇 3 Link to post

Sounds absolutely delicious! You are making me hungry and I am not allowed to eat this late at night! 1 Link to post

Kupar 13,339
Yesterday it was roast celeriac steaks dusted with smoked paprika ... ... sautéed white cabbage and onion with caraway seeds, garlic and cherry tomatoes ... ... and plain bulgar wheat with parsley, and a spoonful of espagnol sauce: Tasty 🙂 But no nonchalant peeing in the kitchen during preparation I'm afraid. 3 Link to post

Mmmmmm, ooooooh smoked paprika makes everything taste next level, doesn’t it?😋 Very healthy and looks delicious. Ah well, maybe some nonchalant kitchen peeing next time? 💦 Gorgeous food, just like you. Thanks for bringing us into Kupar’s Kitchen. 💚 1 Link to post
Popular Post MidoriLemonade85 2,366
Ok, trying to outdo Kupar in the fancy, healthy food stakes! 😆 Vegetarian Buddha Bowl 1. What did you cook today? Buddha Bowl (diet version) with spinach leaves, garlic and ginger sweet potato, Spanish onions, green beans, poached egg, fried halloumi cheese, seedless green grapes, cherry tomatoes and chia seeds on top. 2. Can we have the recipe? Yep… https://www.themanshake.com.au/blog/recipes/dinners-and-sides/vegetarian-buddah-bowl/ 3. Does this meal have special meaning for you? I like recipes that even a kid could make. I get nervous when it involves blenders or other kitchen gadgets. Give me a sharp knife, cutting board and good frypan and I am happy. I like anything with raw veg too as they taste better and keep their nutrients. And you can add whatever trendy Asian seasoning you wish. No, I don’t like avocado and I couldn’t afford sauerkraut. And next time I am frying the damn egg! 😆 4. Did you pee while you cooked and if so, how and where? No privacy, so I did a messy toilet pee. I hovered over the seat, lifted my labia and it sprayed all over the toilet seat (the part you sit on). I did try and film it, but besides soaking my phone, it is hard to get a decent angle. But, yesterday, as it was washing day, I did manage a lovely panty pee. 5. Pics? Yep, see below. I promise when I have the house to myself, the kitchen floor will get nice and wet and I will share it with you. 😘 Edited January 28 by MidoriLemonade85 Added ingredients 6 Link to post

MidoriLemonade85 2,366
Welcome to Midori’s Kitchen. ☕️🍪 1. What did you cook today? Sushi Rolls 2. Can we have the recipe? https://www.themanshake.com.au/blog/recipes/dinners-and-sides/sushi-rolls/ 3. Does this meal have special meaning for you? I love the fresh nature of Japanese food. I thought it would be interesting to make sushi rolls that have no sticky rice and see if they stay together or fall apart. 4. Did you pee while you cooked and if so, how and where? Will answer separately due to pic limitations. 5. Pics? See below. Messy first attempt but tasted alright. Think I will stick to tuna patties…sushi is too fiddly. MidoriLemonade85 2,366
So, to test consistency, and just for fun I put some of the tuna mixture on my boob. Want to help me out with a taste test? Enough Greek Yoghurt in it? 4 Link to post
MidoriLemonade85 2,366
And this is my pee puddle from under the back verandah (kitchen not private enough today)…It evaporated but left a faint salt trail on the ground. Best thing about Summertime though…Now that I have taken care of my bladder, who’s up for some sushi tasting? Use fingers instead of chopsticks, I don’t care. 4 Link to post
