Not sure if this topic belongs here but I was intrigued to see a news story today that Georgia Tech has won the 2015 Physics Ig award (mock award by Harvard for "improbable research" for a study showing that nearly all mammals take the same amount of time to urinate! One does wonder how and why that one was thought up.

These days seems quite a common phenomenon and at all sorts of events, including classical music concerts at the Albert Hall and a cathedral in the last year. What always amuses me is the way (in the UK at lest) everybody usually seems to carry on without comment. Though the exceptions to that rule can be even more amusing. Just caught up with this thread. Reminded of what is probably a 4th hand report!
