Local flooding only, supermarket got inundated, no damage though. We were out driving when we saw it coming, got home before it started. Was pretty intense for a while.

Glad to hear there was no widespread flooding. Did the storm bring some cooler weather?

This storm blew through last night, dumped a months rain in 30 min, killed our power until this morning. Up on the mountain, Maigh said it all with a fitting "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

The clouds look wicked. I hope there wasn't to much damage from all the rain

Just a few days ago, it was arctic here in Detroit.  It got to about -12C.  However, it got up to +13C today!  Nuts, right?  I know we'll get another arctic blast again this winter, for sure.

That's nuts to have that kind of temperature swing. It's done that here this winter as well. Crazy lol

Nice ... and I thought -13c and 7" snow was wintery.  England has nothing on Canada ... lol.

Sadly, I didn't get a chance to make any yellow snow.

Lol ya we have you beat my friend. Winter in the canadian prairies can be brutal. 6 months of winter lol. The wind is the biggest factor, it can make even -10c feel like -30 if it blows hard enough.

Speedy, I just saw that our high for the day next Thursday will be -3F.  That's not the wind chill, but the actual temperature.  When that happens, it's usually from cold air coming down from Canada.  Thanks for that!  LOL!  I still love your country.  But...brrrr...that will be sooo c-c-cold!  Yikes!  Thanks again.  LOL!

Lol your welcome. It's because we care that we share our cold weather lol

They're called the Northern Cardinal and, yes, they stay here for the winter.  I just checked on Wikipedia and they are in your province too.  I saw one yesterday and it was 14 F outside.  They are tough birds!

Lol they sure must be. I will keep me eyes open for them. Sure can't miss them lol

I must admit, its quite hot to look at *wink*

I have peed several times in a sink, in the storage area at work when no one was present. A few times in a bar and once at a friends. Besides that, i use my husband *wink*

As another fine member said, your husband is a lucky man. You peeing in a sink at a bar is very brazen and naughy, good work 'wink'

The photo below shows my favorite bird.  Cardinals don't fly south for the winter.  Seeing them on a snowy day is one of life's treasures.  Like nearly all bird species, they are monogamous.  The Mr. and Mrs. hanging out on a winter day.  Cute!

Beautiful picture. I didn't know that they stayed around for the winter
