it is something I have since childhood but has never been a "childish" thing, it's something much more complicated, I think it's because smileys over-emphasize the expressively meaningful portions of an hypothetical face, but I am morbidly amused by them.

I had to willingly slow down breathing from laughing furiously before answering to this.
