Poll: Chat Room or Shout Box

Shout Box: 

• The benefit of the shout box is that you see it on the homepage
• It's easy to monitor and leave short messages 

Chat Room:

• It doesn't load every time you visit the homepage which saves load time 
• It has more features

I voted for the shoutbox not only because of the reasons you listed, but because when you enter the chatroom the screen is blank, you can't see previous messages. With the shoutbox discussion can be reignited or created, even if the original message was hours ago. With the chatroom, I could miss a message by even a minute and wouldn't be able to contribute.

I have reinstated the shout box. Personally I prefer the chat, but I understand that the shout box is well established and people are more comfortable with it. Thank you to those of you who voted.

Has the chatroom disappeared or been removed? Because I cannot find it and never got around to checking it out.

Been too busy updating my pics of the day threads and dealing with BS on another forum from this forum's ex-mod.

Yes, I switched it back to the shout box. Really the only difference is that "chat room" is confined to one page, where as the Shout Box loads EVERY time you visit the homepage which can slow the page loading times.
