MissPiss 1,027
Women pee more in the winter Did you know that people especially WOMEN tend to pee a lot more in the winter time? Yup it’s true!!! There are many factors that cause urination to increase during the cold winter months and there are many reasons and studies to prove it!!!. During winter people consume a lot more hot beverages to keep warm. Even if you don’t drink hot caffeinated drinks you still have to pee a lot more because of “Cold Diuresis” In cold weather, your body tries to keep your core warm by constricting your blood vessels and reducing the flow of blood to your skin. This process is called vasoconstriction. It is necessary because heat is lost from your skin to the environment, so your body tries to reduce the flow of blood to your extremities, especially your fingers and toes. The constricted blood vessels cause your blood pressure to rise, because the same amount of blood has less space to flow through. To regulate your blood pressure, your kidney filters out some of the excess fluid from your blood, to reduce its volume. As your bladder fills up with the excess fluid, you feel the urge to pee. A full bladder is another way that your body loses heat, so urinating immediately helps preserve your core warmth. So while I know a lot of you pee fetish fans can’t wait for Summer, thinking that you will see more public peeing and women peeing at the beach, peeing at concerts, and other summer pee fun…take into consideration that Winter is a great time to indulge in your pee fantasy as well. Scot_Lover 1,877
Err, I don't think this works in the Land of Aus, we drink more in summer, and it's never cold enough to worry about in winter. Link to post

CrissyP 790
I think MissPiss does have a point. I know I need to pee more often when it's cold. A mild case of "Cold Diursesis" is possible when exposed to cold temperatures and worsens when the temperatures are cold enough to cause hypothermia. The blood is redirected from the extremities to the kidneys, which fills the bladder faster causing the need to pee. Warm caffeinated drinks will also irritate the bladder, more so than cold drinks like iced tea or cola. Link to post
glad1 2,832
I don't know whether it's true for women, but my own bladder seems to shrink in winter. I know I have less holding ability. In fact, I've stepped from the warm indoors to the cold outside and had to pee almost immediately, even if I hadn't planned to. Link to post
Scot_Lover 1,877
Did you read the part about “Cold Diuresis”??? Yes, but the coldest it gets in winter is 10c during the day, have to drive 300km just to see snow. We don't see any difference in pee patterns. Link to post

MissPiss.com Ahhhh yeah!!! If the floor is cold or my lower back, i could pee every 30 min to an hour. Perhaps i should ask hubby to make me a hole in the couch and he can benefit from it all. But seriously, sometimes i could go 3-4 hours without which explains why because i do take more coffee and hot chocolat. Link to post
