another website gone: (Girlspee / Vids / Pissrip status)

Recommended Posts

I also saved a lot of them. I also saved a lot from pissrip before it turns into private, specially HDC and WD, but some others too, that I won't mention because of Google's issues.

I believe the better way to share/revive those contents would be a telegram group or channel, specially for the anonymity of it. I searched all this forum to see if there's an official telegram group or channel, but found none!

Also, I believe we could make a fund to get new updated content, specially from those sites that are extremely rare on the whole web.

I don't know who are the active admins here, but would I need some authorization to create an telegram channel or telegram group here and invite people to share some content and maybe, just maybe, revive those contents and keep on the good work pissrip and girlspee did?

Ps: Did you know that GIRLSPEE.NET is still online, right?! Only the DNS has gone down, but the hosting is still working.

If you edit your hosts file (on windows: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, edit with notepad as administrator), you can add this:
92.119.113.27 girlspee.net

That IP is the last IP pointed by the DNS server.

Then you can navigate and still watch all the content. I don't know for how long that hosted content would still be available, but at this very moment, it's working fine.

How would one do this on a device that isn't windows?

On Windows: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
On Linux: /etc/hosts
Android and iOS: I don't think it's possible (unless you root/jailbreak, mount your system partition as "writable")

I know that my answer probably won't help you specifically, but maybe help others.

I tried this tonight and still cannot get it to work, any tips?

It just pings back saying that the domain has expired…

If you're on windows, try this:

  1. Click on the Start Menu, search for notepad. Right click, and choose "Run as administrator"
  2. Goto File > Open
  3. Paste this: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
  4. You should now be looking at your 'hosts' file, that begings with "Copyright ... Microsoft" and "This is a sample HOSTS file..."
  5. Go to the end of the file, create a new line, and add a new line, exactly like this:
    92.119.113.27 girlspee.net

  6. Save the file. Close all your browser's windows (ex: close all chrome windows), and open them again.
  7. Just enter https://girlspee.net and you should be ready to go.

So you can understand what you're doing:
- When you type a domain name in your brower, that domain name have to be resolved/transformed to an IP Address.
- As the domain is now expired, the IP Address is pointing to the domain registrar, and not the girlspee.net servers anymore.
- When you edit your "hosts" file, you're basically forcing your OS to resolve to that specific IP address, which is the correct girlspee.net server (that is still online).

I hope It works for you now.

Hey Darryl, you're my savior! I'm on a Mac and this method worked perfectly fine.

Just asking, it shows that the latest video on the site is updated on June 2nd, 2024. Has the site been updated since the DNS has gone down? Or do we don't know?

what should I name the file? Should there be two lines in the file? C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and 92.119.113.27 girlspee.net?
