Proofreading/Editing work

Looking for advice regarding proofreading and /or editing as a side job. I'd like something I can do remotely 10-15 hours per week for additional income, and one thing that always pops up on lists of side hustles is proofreading. I have no experience per se, but do have an eye for detail and grammar. Does anyone here actually do this, or know how viable a pursuit it is? I'd be willing to take a course for certification if that helps. Or is it a waste of time to pursue such work?
